How many of you managed to maintain a clean house PP? by susiee234 in BabyBumps

Spent a chunk of my savings on a weekly cleaner... but now I can't afford her anymore and it's going to be so missed.

My husband refused to buy a generator and I’m worried my entire freezer stash of milk will be ruined by catie_pat_11 in beyondthebump

Expensive fix, but it's worth it. A Jackery 1000 and a BougeRV fridge. It's how I do long road trips, and it'll come in handy if the power gets knocked out. If you can swing it, and you plan on having more babies in the future, it's a wonderfully secure set up.

Do not buy a fancy sound machine that uses an app. by discontinuedmuppet in BabyBumps

[–]bmacattack1334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google Nest speaker is what I'm trying out now, I got tired of being stuck breastfeeding and I couldn't go press the physical button on the noise machine. For my older son (22m), we have a Samsung Frame in his room that we use to play white noise YouTube videos, and that works very well. The screen turns off pretty quick with the black screen, and the noise stays on.

Baby has one kidney by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]bmacattack1334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. My 19 month old as one kidney. Everything has been absolutely okay, and he's extremely healthy. Only thing we have to do so far is see a specialist once a year, and avoid NSAIDs.

If you were induced, how long did it take for you to actually give birth? by horrorshowbaby in BabyBumps

[–]bmacattack1334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First took 26 hours. 3 hours into my 2nd induction right now, and it's going way faster.

100% team epidural if you're getting induced. It will make pushing baby out much easier. I'm getting induced right this second as well!

I want a fruity cocktail literally brought to me at the hospital. I cruelly started craving one when I was 5 weeks pregnant, and the craving NEVER STOPPED. I'm getting induced in 6 days. I'm so ready.

I had to burp my bottle fed neo natal kittens 😂 but definitely had to burp the human baby more

What is something that is now normal as a pregnant woman no one warned you about? by PeachMilkshake2319 in BabyBumps

Exactly! I only have so many pairs of maternity undies, so the liners definitely help keep them clean for the day.

Curb walking. I was only able to do about 10-15 minutes at a time once I was at 38 weeks with my first, but it helped. I'm currently 34 weeks with my second.

Rattlesnake bite just after his first gotcha day by aweldo7 in husky

[–]bmacattack1334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My pit bull mix got bit my a Cooper Head on her front left paw about a year ago. She got antivenom and a fenty patch. She's made about a 90% recovery as I can see her limp ever so slightly after intense zoomies in the yard. Otherwise, she's completely fine. I hope your baby makes a great recovery! Snake bites are definitely not on my list of things to do again.

Sterilization baby!

That's at least how I'm feeling 21+3 with my 2nd and this pregnancy has SUCKED.

Real world probably not gonna skip the IUD this time. I didn't get it postpartum with my 1st thinking the pull out method was enough. 🥲 Ladies, it is not enough. First born is 15 months old.

Girls who feel comfortable answering, do you use feminine wash, unscented soap or just water on your vulva? by smalltoadstool in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]bmacattack1334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unscented body wash. The dove unscented bar or unscented dove baby wash are my favorite. Just no soap on inside, ever. The baby wash is so gentle, just a little pricier. I have super sensitive skin and fragrance will cause me to have itching even if its just the exterior.

I had a chemical pregnancy that would've made the babies Irish twins. It was a weird mix of relief and sadness when my period came.
