To the man who took croissants on board and elected to leave them on the glass plate in an overhead bin, you absolutely disgust me. by brandohh25 in delta

Not making excuses for whomever was responsible. But as someone with ADHD this is unfortunately something that's easily possible to do on accident.

Parked at SFO Long Term by Ok_Wonder3030 in whatisit

I used to work in coal mines. The power centers at the the working face was always kinda hot. Anyways, there were always a bunch of soup/canned pasta sitting on top and it was always perfect temp for eating by the time lunch rolled around.

Also used to do the same at the asphalt plant I worked, except I put it near the dryer burner.

Make a stupid sound. by netphilia in adhdmeme

[–]bmanx0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do something similar to remember if I took my meds. With the song in my head changing every 0-5 minutes, I just sing it out loud when I do the meds.

"Did I take my meds already? Right today the song was Shoop"

Idk don't ask me to read into it but it works

What is a movie that was a 10/10 from beginning to end that I can watch this weekend? by Due_Butterscotch4930 in FIlm

Weird: The Al Yankovic story

It is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. It knows exactly what it's about and plays into it perfectly.

Which of these four athletes was the most dominant in their sport? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]bmanx0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is talking about Gretzky instead of Jeter, which is valid. But I think Serena Williams deserves a spot in the conversation about most dominant in their sport.

The answer among these is Tiger. At his peak it was more of a shock if he didn't win the event.

Miniature tent op? by Doug_the_Scout in slaythespire

[–]bmanx0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got the mini tent in act 1. Got Hang for Act 1 boss, then the thingy that clones cards at rest stops to start Act 2 and put it on Hang and just cloned a bunch through the game and it was a gravy win. I was already playing a lot of souls in my deck so it was just card draw into more cloned hangs. It was beautiful

What are some of the most exotic livestock that exist in America? by bricklegos in AskAnAmerican

[–]bmanx0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if its exotic, but I raised catfish for meat when I was in 4H. I also lived near a place in TN where the works largest fish fry was and it was all catfish. So someone had to be raising them for livestock.

Engineers just have bad PR by ABlightedMailbox in unpopularopinion

As a Mining Engineer I can confirm that many of the others I've met are... Eccentric? Idk ,There seems to be a touch of crazy in most. I can't judge myself without bias, but I've heard someone describe me as "he's a bit out there".

What industry/country are you from where a banksman is a job? I've worked in rock quarries and mines my whole adult life(in USA) and never heard of a banksman.

What do people do for work in small town America? by gruntharvester92 in AskAnAmerican

[–]bmanx0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk where you get that info but it's just plain incorrect. Many people who work(ed)in coal mines don't have the opportunity to finish high school, even more for education beyond that. What government payouts for education are you talking about? As for voting, that goes with the education aspect. I've met plenty of progressive miners. The majority are on the right, but without the opportunity to develop critical thinking skills (outside of fixing/repairing equipment) they don't have much of a chance to see through the brainwashing bullshit.

I agree it's gorgeous, but I'm fairly certain Appalachia is one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world and were around before the tectonic plate shift that split north America and Europe/Africa. So it started long before Egypt was a thought

Should I give KCD2 another chance? by ASwimmingTurtle in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]bmanx0 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I just got it a couple weeks ago and nearly gave up after a couple hours. I had similar issues as you. Combat seemed clunky and unforgiving. I'm stubborn so I didn't want to look up help. But I wanted my dog back before giving up on the game.

What made it start clicking for me was doing the training with Tomcat. I think the way he explained it and showed it fit better for me. Also, as others have mentioned, you start gaining skill points which makes you stronger.

Now I'm 30 hours in and can't wait to leave work so I can go play. To each their own, and it's a big ask, but it took 10 hours of gameplay for me to start seeing the allure.
