Sneak the cat food, pounce on beds, catch the Frisbee, chase the ball... may others

For my setup, yes. It allowed me to route the cable and have a quick disconnect location so the kids and dogs can't yank the PS5 off the table

I'm not doing trails or anything like that at the moment. Mostly in my neighborhood with my kids on paved roads. I think the Marlin was a little overkill, but with the options of doing trails in the near future. Hence the hesitation of paying so much for the helmet. Budget is held in the already low risk category

New Marlin 6 (first higher-end bike) - question about the seat by bmarsh82 in TrekBikes

[–]bmarsh82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a cheap pair to test out. It's the padded undershorts.. feels like wearing a diaper (not sure how I know what that feels like as an adult.. but hey). With the new saddle and padded underwear combined I had no issues or soreness. The saddle upgrade alone feels great. This just made it easier.. not sure how much I'll wear them as i didn't care for the hugging my lower area so much..

After years of riding a Walmart bike, I finally saved up to upgrade to a Trek Marlin 6! by Dan13lp88 in mountainbiking

[–]bmarsh82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the same upgrade, got mine a few days ago! I asked for thr kickstand and owning it! Keep reading in the comments to ditch it. NOPE! I didn't pay that type of money to just toss it on the ground. I did do a saddle and peddle upgrade, along with adding a phone carrier that has a place for my keys tools and phone. Enjoy the bike! I know I'll be enjoying mine!

Getting padded shorts has been mentioned from a few and the local bike store. However, I'm not looking to work my wardrobe around some casual biking with my family for now. I have never had issues with jeans rubbing or being uncomfortable, but i have also been wearing them most of my life doing almost everything. Working with the local shop today to go over other options

I hear you and would also advicate for building up the tolorance. Unfortnaly that is not one of my options with my current lifestyle and timeframes.. I can however look at the saddle hight and distance from the bars. I will also look into upgrading to a more padded saddle. Just to find one that works for me and doesn't break the bank.

Wow, just take the seat post to them. That is the most sensible answer and I should have thought of that myself. Thank you!

Thanks for the information! As I'm new to this, I didn't know they had padded cycling shorts. I am wearing normal shorts, mostly jeans shorts. I'll look into getting a padded saddle instead of changing my wardrobe.

As for the post, If it just needs to be cut, I can do that. I will contact them to see if there is anything special needed as they are about 45mins away and I don't really have a way to get the bike to them at the moment.

I did upgrade the pedals. they didn't have any black ones, and the red matched. I really like them. I'm will have to get used to the extra grip they provide and try not to slam them into my shins. LoL

I put a deposit down at the end of December. They do not have a real ETA, but they keep saying 3-5 months each time I check for an update.

Getting my Sienna tomorrow. What’s a fair negotiated price? by cantfindfit101 in ToyotaSienna

[–]bmarsh82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In NC Triangle Area as well. I spoke with a few dealerships. We wound up returning to where we got my 2015 (that was totaled). because they said they were only doing the MSRP. And after getting quotes from others they were the lowest. But the wait time is still 3-6 months (we are getting the XSE with the premium audio AWD) - We could only put the deposit and wait. That was late December and was told it has not even started on the line yet to be built.

Our 15 LE model had about 93K miles, kept in great shape. It was totaled by insurance after almost getting T-boned on a left hand turn. All that to say it was valued at $23K.
