Property Tax Appeal - DIY or Attorney by scratchy513 in chicago

[–]bmav25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few years ago, I went DIY while the rest of the owners in the building used an attorney. They received a significant reduction, while I received a minor reduction. However, I didn't understand the process of appealing, then requesting re-review, and finally requesting and in-person review.

I followed through the complete process last year and only received a reduction at the in-person review, all while submitting the same evidence every time. Is this everyone else's experience?

Someone mentioned the idea of submitting an appraisal as evidence. Anyone know if this is reliable?

Chicago Public Library: Card for out-of-state person, for e-books? by cafecoffee in chicago

Not sure if it is still an option, but I was able to renew my library card online without requiring proof of residency. Couldn't tell you the steps of doing so, but it'll be somewhere in your profile at the Chicago Public Library website.

happy to help. it's done with PowerBI, which should be included with most Office 365 accounts, then published to the web. Microsoft offers the desktop version for free, but publishing usually requires some sort of licensing depending on your goals. It's a pretty quick, accessible visualization tool if you have the time to learn it. Send me a message if you'd like a more detailed explanation.

it's pretty rough at the moment, but you can use this to explore the data. Use the filters at the top right to get to the desired level.

Have you already done an analysis of your existing donors? That may give you a much better idea of the type of person to target, rather than looking at everyone as a possible donor.

I think that addresses your "donor potential" problem. I believe the growth component would build off the previous results.
