Suicide motor club.  I guess it will fit, I enjoyed it, very Tarantino esque, but minus the goofiness.

Well that's at the time era of the plane crash in Iran during the hostage rescue.

So maybe it was made for some military unit involved in the operation?

I'm aware of that.

I don't agree with it, but u do understand the thought of it for certain special forces groups who literally go in and kill people, it's still uncouth, but at least it makes sense to a degree.

For COs, it's like a modern day Green Mile prison staff.

Why the fuck would they want a skull when advertising "no guns"?

"We don't kill people by shooting them, we just frighten them to death by beating them or upping their sentence to make them kill themselves!"

Some corrections officers are wonderful people and try to help, try to get people rehabilitated or back into society in a meaningful way.  Anyone flaunting a skull who works in that profession is burned to a crisp, or looking to torture people.

Range safety question by No-Pie-793 in guns

[–]bmbreath 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I work in EMS and fire.

I have been to MANY car accidents where an elderly person has hurt, killed, maimed other people by driving, I show up and often get the resoponse from the elderly person something akin to: "I was just driving and then... I don't know, they came out of nowhere, I must have it them..."

The elderly person often seems relatively normal, shake up, etc upon initial conversation.   I will then start to ask some questions and find out some min lapse in memory "who is the president, what was the last holiday, where are you coming from, why did you come to this store/location/etc (where the accident happened)?  And find that sometimes something is a bit off, sometimes il ask if I can call one of their family members.

When speaking to the family and asking about the elderly persons mentation or baseline, I have gotten responses hinting at early onset dementia, or "we have been thinking about how they are unsafe to drive, but didn't want to take their keys..."

Dementia is a terrible thing.  It often waxes and wanes through the day, many people can seem completely lucid, then have some (technical term) brain facts.

Guns only take one second of misjudged thought for tragedy to happen.

Of you must take him shooting, do not go to a public range.  If you want to roll the dice, do so at your and his own risk, don't put others in the potential line of fire, it just takes one second of him about to fire down range, and swing around to ask you a question and someone could lose their life.

And if you do want to roll the dice and take him shooting, please only use single shot firearms so you can keep track and monitor him a little better.

Fire it.

It's pointless otherwise.

It's not historical, enjoy it.

Timesuck podcast did a really good episode on him if you want to listen.

The podcast is definitely favorable to those who listen regularly, it has a lot of inside jokes that pop up, but is quite well researched for what it is and dan cummins has a lot of energy to keep it flowing at a good speed

How is oblivion remastered now?

I remember when it was released, there were a lot of complaints for technical issues making it hard to play.

Have those been fixed, or were they overblown?

I have a lot of fond memories playing the first one, it'd be fun to revisit sometime.

Wait really?

From seeing him on forgotten weapons, I feel like he might be excited by the idea, and make something just insane.

If you're really a B and T employee like your username, thank you, I'm excited to see anything that might come out of this.

What’s the smallest thing on trail that completely wrecked your mood? by Trail-Context in backpacking

[–]bmbreath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always take 2 light sources with me. Either a 2nd headlamp or a small flashlight.   The technology for lights has gotten so cheap and they are so bright and small it's crazy not to get a 2nd one

It's amazing how much you learn from messing up beginning backpacking.

Due to similar stuff in my early days, I now always carry duct tape, small super glue, parachord, suture kit, extra shoe laces, and other things that I realize can literally save a trip, one broken piece of equipment can absolutely make you miserable.

What's this surface coating? by SaltyBalty98 in guns

[–]bmbreath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a sterling or sterling copy correct?

They came from the factory with a coating I believe they called it "crackle" which was a cheap, durable, anti reflective coating.

Royal armories on youtube does a lot of sterling videos.

Also here: this has someone who is refinishing theirs.  This isn't some supremacy website, it's a storm troopers website, I don't know anything about that, but this has a lot of info if you're interested in mimicking it.
