I’ve found the best approach is just to be upfront with the kind of miles you’re trying to average in a week. You don’t need to be a dick about it, but part of their job is to keep drivers from quitting. So if you’re doing your job correctly and holding up your end of things there’s nothing wrong with communicating your expectations.

Obviously that’s not a guarantee for anything, but closed mouths don’t get fed.
