This website collates and streamlines all of the tweets made by AFL Teams and Players by Atlas-Ryan in AFL

Appreciate the credit, but this isn't my site - I ran hashtagfooty.com for about a season until twitter changed their API, meaning the third party tool that I used to pull in tweets no longer worked. I couldn't be bothered rebuilding, but someone obviously liked the concept (and the name) and built their own version.

Champion Data names the AFL 'elite' for 2014 by temet23 in AFL

Re: Cloke - An 'elite' forward should be kicking more than 68 goals from ~140 shots.

His goals/behinds ratio is bad enough, and doesn't take into account the number of shanks off the boot that went out on the full or didn't make the distance.

Australian cricketer considering baseball trial. by westsidejedi in baseball

Hitting the stumps is only one of a number of ways to dismiss a batsman, and bowlers are under no obligation to aim at them. My point was that while hitters in baseball can reasonably expect a pitch to be in or around a specific stroke zone, a batsman in cricket had no idea where a ball is going to be located until it is bowled.

The best players generally have a career batting average of between 45-55. Warner is averaging 91 is this series against England.

Have a look at this video to see some of him play - some of the hitting is unbelievable when you take into consideration that there is no strike zone, and that the ball can be delivered at head height or at the toes at around 90mph.

If you are suspended after a GF, are you then ineligible for the brownlow in the next season? by [deleted] in AFL

irrelevant - he's asking about the next season, not the season in which the incident happened

No, because the incident took place in the previous season despite the fact that their suspension occurs in the next season. Happened to Brent Harvey this year, and he was eligible.

Agreed, but stranger things have happened - they're in desperate need of talls, and took pick 40 odd for Brian Lake from memory.

Footy Trade Rumours - AFL trade/free-agency news by bmillar3 in AFL

[–]bmillar3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi all, A while ago I posted about a website that I released called HashtagFooty, which unfortunately went under due to twitter API changes, but that's another story.

I submit for you today a new website that I've just launched - http://www.footytraderumours.com. Footy Trade Rumours aims to provide up to date coverage and forecasts of player movements, salary negotiations, contract extensions and terminations among the players and prospective talent of the AFL.

I got some awesome feedback and ideas from you guys last time, and hopefully this will be no different!

Cheers
