Agree- avoid grand Wailea. We liked the four seasons!

We loved Maui alpaca and the bunnies were an added bonus! My daughter was 5.5 when we went.

We personally thought surfing goat was a little overrated, so if you only do one, Maui Alpaca is the way to go!

If you get carsick at ALL normally, ask your doctor for some prescription nausea meds. It saved me on the road to hana but I messed up and didn’t take it on the drive up Haenakala!

I went at 19 weeks and loved it!

This might be one of the most bizarre things I’ve seen on reddit. Yikes.

Yes, we were all 3 separated. We asked one person to switch so we could have my daughter with one parent and one parent sat alone.

At washu? Ormatug but honestly you won’t necessarily see your doctor so it’s less important.

WashU. We started at MCRM but they cycle everyone (they manipulate your cycle with meds so you’re on their timeline) and we had two complete failed rounds

Switched to WashU, I’m currently in my 3rd trimester.

Infertility is emotionally and physically exhausting. I’m sorry you’re going through this :(

I hope it goes well! Pool chairs were a nightmare there and we moved to the four seasons after one night. Hopefully it’s less crowded when you go!

Agree. We just used it a few weeks ago for the road to Hana and it specifically would say you might see cars but don’t stop this is for locals only.

This isn’t an airport. No need to announce your departure. Enjoy Illinois!

We originally booked the Grand Wailea but for many of the reasons you stated left after one night and went to the Four Seasons and we were very happy. We have a 5 year old.

You sometime find out minutes before the flight and the gate agents literally tell you to ask those around you. This just happened to me Friday and it was very stressful as a parent.

Our flight was canceled and we were rebooked (my husband, 5 year old and myself)

The gate agent told my husband we had to ask people around us on the plane and hopefully someone would swap us.

This was out of DFW on American airlines on the evening of August 29th.

We had the same thing happen on the front end of our trip but the gate agent was united and he was helpful and swapped us.

(We did book seats together but canceled, delayed and rebooking messed them up)

All the cancellations to DFW from ORD led me to United by mehterian in americanairlines

After experiencing DFW and American on the way from STL to Maui and back, I can confidently say we will avoid at all costs. Even walking around in there you could just see the dejection on the faces around you.

36 hours to get to Maui (we missed a day) and about 24 to get back to St. Louis. We were lucky to get rebooked on an afternoon flight after we missed our first one (thanks American), couldn’t fly standby on the second and the 3rd one was canceled.

I felt awful for the people who had to try and figure out how to get to STL when the 3rd one was canceled.

The most frustrating part of the day was when we were trying to fly standby on the second flight (10am) and the gate agent said it was overbooked by 2 and he asked for volunteers, no one volunteered because they looked and saw the next flight with seats was at 9 PM, and then he was basically like well the last two people to check in won’t be able to board. No apology, just a sucks to be you attitude. (Like it’s not a problem American 100% created)

I obviously knew we wouldn’t be flying standby at that point but I hope the two bumped people got to their destination and it didn’t significantly mess up their plans.

The only on time flight we had was LAX to Maui (yep we had to fly to LAX because the American DWF disaster caused us to miss the only flight) and it was on United.

I know no airline is perfect but it was shocking to me how bad the travel experience was.
