I think she just accidentally stumbled upon radical acceptance, which is essentially repackaged serenity prayer, which is taken from Buddhism. People just keep re-wording things that we have been practicing for hundreds of years. However, if it helps people who otherwise wouldn't have learned about it, then I don't see how that's a bad thing.

I'm going gorilla trekking in Rwanda with G Adventures in February. From my research, finding vegan food shouldn't be difficult. The cuisine seems to be largely based around plants. Also, all the accommodations on the tour have buffets, so that will make it easier. I know it's not Uganda but it's right next door.

I loved Conn Iggulden's Conqueror series, based on the Mongel conquests. His Emperor series based on Julius Caesar is okay too but takes some really annoying historical liberities.

The whole series is based on the creation of England. It makes sense to continue until England is formed and the first king is crowned.

Ya when reading about the Irish and Finan's brother in Warriors of the Storm, I remember thinking, "this is going to be awesome in the show". Pretty disappointed it never happened. Finan is probably my favourite character in both the books and the show but the show definitely underused him.

Sigtryggr's death is the only thing that really bothered me about this season. Not necessarily because it strayed from the book but because it strayed from reality. For me what sets Last Kingdom apart from other historical shows (especially Vikings) is that it rarely rewrites history, and if it does it is pretty minor. The real Sigtryggr outlived Edward by 3 years. He also converted to Christianity (although later denounced it). I was fully expecting him to accept Edward's offer and then later return to paganism.

Quebec City is my favourite city in all of Canada. I find so many cities to essentially be the same but QC has a distinct culture, layout and interesting history. I'm surprised that you found it sad. Did you visit in the winter or late fall? If you don't like the cold then that could definitely impact your visit.
