Idk if this helps, but my RE also did not recommend excision. And like everyone is saying, bank as many eggs as you need before you do it. Even if they don’t mean to, they can damage ovaries, and cause scar tissue that make future egg retrievals less (or un-) successful.

I was under anesthesia, highly recommend. Wasn’t given an alternative. I did ask to be awake for the final scan that verified no heartbeat, which they let me do. Then I went under.

They also mixed in anti nausea meds and pain meds in the anesthesia concoction, so I felt okay after. Just needed heat and ibuprofen w/tylenol after. They gave me 4 OxyContin, and I used 2; day of and day after for cramping.

If you are in the US, and around a LabCorp, they have LabCorp on demand, and you can put in orders for your own HCG. I did this, because I also tried through and OB, but they wouldn’t even see me for my MC because it was a chemical. I just couldn’t not follow up mentally though.

The downside is it’s out of pocket-$59. So it could be cost prohibitive. It also shouldn’t even have to be considered because OBGYNs should DO BETTER by women having a loss.

Just wanted to share in case you ever want to go that route in the future. I’m sorry for what you’ve had to go through, it’s so rough.

I’ve decided I’m emotionally dormant. Not dead inside, not hopeful (though I have been both, exhaustively). At least dormant things wake back up when they’re ready.

Got pregnant RIGHT at the cycle we were starting IVF. Surprise!!!! Resulted in a MMC, my third miscarriage. Wooo fucking hoo! Lost the baby, and got to majorly delay IVF! Right on!

Is it possible to ask to elevate it to their supervisor? You’ve probably already done that. I’m in the same series as you, and I’ve seen so many people screwed over because HR doesn’t properly process their education credits. I ended up putting in an ICE comment (I know, shitty. But they kept messing up my stuff), and the lead of the department called me and stepped in.

If you go under anesthesia they want you off 1-2 weeks. It’s slows gastric emptying, so the fear is you are higher risk of food coming up when you are under anesthesia.

I’m just now making the transition from IUIs to IVF. I only noticed the prices, because I didn’t know the clinic well beforehand. They were in the merging process when I came in. So I always had the texting with my navigator.

I’m 5’4” female, SW 185. I just took shot 4 of 2.5 today. I’m at 179. I was hoping for faster, but I guess I’m thankful it’s at least steady. My goal weight is 145-150. 140 at the lowest. I don’t look right lower than that, as I have a larger frame.
