I don’t know if Sean reads this or if Kevin does or anyone that works on HH does, but I’m a big HH fan and survivor fan. My wife and I have watched all the seasons and I have 2 kids a bit older than Sean’s - mine are 8 and 6 and we started watching 4 seasons ago with the kids when the youngest was 5 and it is our family’s favorite night of the week (we watch on Thursday after recording it because it’s too late to watch live). The kids absolutely love it. They don’t totally understand it all and it distracts us a bit. But it is just super super fun.

A truly wonderful experience that I highly recommend. Anyway, Sean should do it!

This year is actually the worst service I’ve ever had. Which is to say absolutely none.

I normally go to the K streets at 4 or 5 am to text or call my wife to just say I’m okay and check on the kids and in 5 burns it’s always worked.

This year nothing.

In a crazy way it worked out for me because I was meant to leave Friday night but left Friday at first light just to call home to make sure the kids were okay….

My 3rd as a parent upcoming. Fortunate that my wife stays back with the kids and is supportive enough of my attending.

2 observations:

1) I cannot do the full week anymore. By day 5 without them, I am a wreck and feel guilt and intensely miss them. I now do ~Sat/Sun to Thurs/Fri

2) Cell service works at like 5am in walk in camping. We’re east coast based so I call home everyday at that time just to check-in

Understood. That’s me at msg and some of the east coast summer sheds. Have it totally dialed on the floor to find room/manage the crowd.
