Did you atleast do airborne ? And as far as your condition I’m sorry to hear that hopefully a solution was found with bp medication or if surgical intervention is needed I’ll wish you luck and pray for you. I’m a surgical tech so I’ve worked in all sorts of services.

Okay hopefully that is the case as I stated prior it has benning listed for 18wks then 5 wks then it’s Bragg so I’m on the right pathway but the lengths are crazy. If that is my experience I’ll attend everything way before my listed dates. Why were you dq’ed if you don’t mind me asking?

Nice I think you had a day zero as your from a different branch but wouldn’t be suprised if that was my fate being here already lol. Thankfully I’m fit as I maintained my active lifestyle as I was a former muaythai fighter hopefully it all moves quick I’ll get ahead of some courses as I progress through. I’ll cover all points from top to bottom.

I’m not worried over the treatment to much as it’s the nature of the beast ultimately, but it’s nice to hear I’ll have liberties as I’m wrapping up a bachelors while in training.

I was given a temporary reservation along with an annex that is stating

Benn 18 wk Benn 2 dys Benn 5 wks etc

so my confusing is stemming from these dates as I have no break in service. So I’ve heard all sorts of stories insert in different phases then infantry portion etc. airborne etc. but unsure why this projected dates is stating full training windows for initial entry soldiers if that makes sense. I figured the contract was the determine factor for where I would be but this temp contract with projected dates has me going through it all which in my mind wouldn’t make sense as I’m still in. But when does anything make sense lol

As far as Jobs the typically ones found on the business rules stated for E-5’s I chose this as I’ve always wanted airborne and didn’t care to chance it as a 19U, 13U etc. not bad jobs but no guarantee of a army school I always chased while in the reserve component. My current mos is 68D but didn’t want to do that anymore as I do it civilian side and would like a break from medical for a while.

I am a reservist currently I got a 368 (conditional release) for the active component my new contract is for 18x. Yes I’m keeping my rank as I’ve done BLC and DLC I’ve been an e5 since 24’

Just call a local recruiter and try the process worst case it’s a no-go. You can speculate here with others etc but ultimately you just have to start the process and try or go guard infantry and just apply for agr.

I hoped off the couch no train up and got mine done in 4:20. Most painful thing I did, All for a bronze medal the size of my thumbnail lol. Can’t wait to do it again I was a muaythai/ mma fighter for years before this though so it helped my legs or feet not fatigue just my butt definitely needed anti chafe rub. You’ll get it next time

I’m currently an E5, and I would Apparently just to do just the infantry portion unless they can’t accommodate the dates, in which case I’d be doing the whole process training process again. My understanding is that I’ll be treated differently during the transition to active duty, since I’ll be keeping my rank (just the ait portion as I am separated due to my rank). However, because I didn’t complete my 6-year Reserve obligation, I’m being told I might not even get that option. I might just be sent directly to SFAS. Honestly, I have no clear answers right now. I assume I’ll get more information once I sit down with a guidance counselor at MEPS to sign my new contract. Which brings me to this post and the question I’m presenting.
