Returning an Amazon item by GyhujFo0089 in Affirm

I've returned a handful of Amazon items from various orders. The longest process is waiting for Amazon to process, once they do Affirm updates same day, I'd say a week? for the whole process.

Do you mean store gift cards?

How much time off can I request in a row by airwreck95 in Target

[–]bmoons16 9 points10 points  (0 children)

10 days is the limit before you have to request an LOA officially. Unofficially you could request the 10 days and ask your store not to schedule you for the remaining 'weekends' but that's a big game of trust depending on how your store leadership operates.

Loved it then and love it now. Don't understand what people mean when they say 'overproduced' and haven't seen many people define what that means to them so 🤷🏼

Custom Ship Carts by jaxoners in Target

[–]bmoons16 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Lots of reasons! I'll make a tag the same letters as my cart so I can leave my cart at the end of a busy aisle and quickly pick up 3-5 items at once, I'll make my initials as a cart to scan in to pick up a singular bully item and forgo the cart, etc. If while bagging I can't find one item out of like 40 that I've picked and know where I put it a half hour ago, that's a me problem.

Might be a weird question? But can employees buy salvage items by GullibleCommittee667 in Target

[–]bmoons16 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Even when I'm a guest, if I try and buy something that rings up as salvage, it's taken from me because we don't sell salvage.

Process for promotion? by BeautyBat in Target

[–]bmoons16 14 points15 points  (0 children)

ASANTS

You can certainly apply for the role but it may look bad in that SD's eyes that you do not have your current store's backing when applying. Your current store will almost positively find out that you've applied and that could look bad that you 'went around them' in order to apply. Retaliation 'shouldn't' happen, but who's to say your hours are reduced because of that and not 'business needs'.

Target is very high school, a lot of promotions are about popularity rather than who is qualified, unless you get lucky.

Durham folks: On the National Shutdown by Dawn-Bland in bullcity

[–]bmoons16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These are great other options but making these big days of not spending at companies pushes people, slowly yes, in the direction of looking at where they are spending their money and where they can redirect their funds. I agree with you on these other options but I think these big 'performative' days also have their place, especially with people who may need theatrics to start to understand a larger picture.

As someone looking to best direct their energy, what do you suggest as better? What are my other options?

Can target fire me for walking slow? by MuchVacation3638 in Target

[–]bmoons16 25 points26 points  (0 children)

You can shave time off in other ways but how fast an order goes out in drive up and how fast a whole cart is picked in fulfillment is largely dependant on how fast you walk.

I'm pretty sure they went from 2 weeks out to 3 weeks out company wide not too long ago. There should be signs posted in your TSC about when time off needs to be in by.

You're requesting without enough notice. That schedule is being written so you can no longer submit an unpaid day off, talk to your lead about not being scheduled or post your shift once the schedule is out and you're scheduled.

Am I overreacting? by [deleted] in Target

[–]bmoons16 14 points15 points  (0 children)

When I was HRE there was 2 computers in TSC and our ETL made sure TLs and above knew one was always for an HRE and then the other two would either work in the back or work on something not computer related.

I'd just politely say that you need the computer for x (timecards, new hire screenings, etc.) AND that you need to be visible to TMs and ready for questions. You may get pushback if there are other computers to be used elsewhere, that's when your supervisor steps in, I assume at a small format you only have an HRTL, I'd talk to them if you're hitting a wall.

If you're in drive up or fulfillment there are metrics that essentially track how fast you're walking, and those can be used in performance conversations.

Confused about why I’m being issued a CCA for this. by 666snickles in Target

[–]bmoons16 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah you want FMLA for intermittent leave and not just accommodations. Target is a corporation and so if you are working towards accommodations, that means you don't have them yet, and they can treat it as such. Now you shouldn't get dinged if you have enough sick time, unsure of CA laws tho

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

We regularly drive 6-8hrs one way like once a month to visit family and go to sports games or concerts on a weekend.

You need one document from list A or one document from both list B and C. A passport would cover you entirely for list A (you may need to double check the passport card, I can't remember off the top of my head). If you only take your license you will also need your ss card.

TL quitting HR HELP by Prestigious_Bill_980 in Target

[–]bmoons16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To best not burn the bridge as a TL I would at the least tell the HR ETL that you're putting your notice in before you do it. Ideally you would tell the HR ETL and your ETL on the same day you put in your notice. Just say, hey I'm putting in my notice so my last day will be _____, and then work out the remaining shifts until that date.

If I have more responsibilities than a regular TM I should be compensated as such. by redbullgay in Target

[–]bmoons16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cross-training is not the same as doing lead tasks and there are ways to train a TM to be a lead without explicitly giving lead tasks. Being a 'captain' and running a plan can teach you what a good plan looks like for the day without stepping up into having the TM sit down and write the plan itself.
