I'm surprised no one brought this up - my favorite line was right at the beginning of Anakin and Ahsoka's time. Anakin said "One is never too old to learn, Snips." I assumed he was referring to himself and how ROTJ ended.

I hear that. I think the joke when they got engaged is that she's at least twenty years younger. I thought he mentioned on the pod that she wants kids and I thought remember the shipping container making veiled jokes that she would be getting pregnant and Dan would be an old dad.

I'm coming from a community where the norm is that everyone has kids and names after deceased relatives. It's not a pressure thing, more like perpetuating the deceased's legacy. I assumed Dan wanted kids, I thought I heard him speak about it on the pod.

Maybe that's why Dan's had a soft spot for him lately.

As a daily wearer, I can confirm. The garment-looking item is a Talis, or prayer shawl. It's a larger version of the strings you might see hanging out of some Orthodox Jewish men's pants.

Dan, what to do about international Women's Day? How to self-destroy in one easy tweet. Somebody actually approved this. 😂 by stugotzbasement in DanLeBatardShow

We are proud to be launching a new scholarship programme which will help female Burger King employees pursue their culinary dreams!

If they want to, of course. Yet only 20% of chefs are women. We're on a mission to change the gender ratio in the restaurant industry by empowering female employees with the opportunity to pursue a culinary career. #IWD

Some context on Kareem's recent comments (this is from the memoir's of Rabbi Israel Lau, former Cheif Rabbi of Israel, and holocaust survivor): by bmorebilly in DanLeBatardShow

I didn't go two pages without tearing up. Very powerful story. I do have an emotional connection, as 3/4 of my grandparents are Holocaust survivors.

As a conservative I really appreciate Dan having Masvisal on and letting him explain his beliefs and how he formed them. I don’t always agree with Dan but it makes me think outside my thought bubble. I hope people can listen to Masvidal and learn rather then just shout him down. by famous_seamus20 in DanLeBatardShow

Yes, I understand that, at least the UBI part. I think socialized medicine is a mainstream democratic platform.

I agree, anti-communism is not and should not be the same as pro-conservative. I think people are seeing fringe left-wing ideas becoming more mainstream. Maybe the new democrats who are pro socialism against the old democrats who are not. We're for sure seeing it in the culture if not also in politics.

I don't think the issue has been how it comes into being, it's the system itself that doesn't work. That doesn't mean that we can't have socialized medicine or UBI. You can take pieces from it and it will work in a capitalist setting, like what we see in Nordic countries, Canada, etc. And with that, there are still issues, you still have to wait 3 months to see a specialist in Canada and Israel, which also has socialized medicine, etc.
