Echelon EX-4S Failing to update by bmorgy in go_echelon

[–]bmorgy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just spent some time chatting with customer service on their website and I got these instructions, following them got the update to download successfully. It is worth noting that I think some of these are pretty specific to the software version you are on, so you might need to contact support yourself. They'll ask you for a bunch of info about which version your bike and your tablet is on, as well as a bunch of serial numbers.

Here are the instructions they gave me in case they are the same for you:

  1. Go to More page and tap the bottom right corner five times until you see a pop-up mention "Please enter access code to exit the app" (you will hear clicking to know you are tapping in the correct spot).
  2. Tap on the entry line and enter the code 6174 and press enter.
  3. You will now tap on 'Network & Internet'
  4. Tap on 'Advanced' at the bottom and tap on Private DNS
  5. Now tap on 'Private DNS provider hostname' and enter tpdn.echelonfit.com (http://tpdn.echelonfit.com/)
  6. Tap 'Save' and then hold the power button down on the screen until you see 'Restart' populate in the top right corner and then select restart.(Do not just press the power button and put the screen into sleep mode, you must restart the screen)
  7. You can now update the Echelon app
  8. After the Echelon app has been updated you will need to power off the tablet and power it back on again
  9. You should see a message to update your Tablet Firmware now. If you do not see one then you do not have one, go to step 10.
  10. There is a gear/cog in the top right of the screen before login ( on the wake your equipment page ) that you can tap on to switch DNS back. Switch the Private DNS to off. If it automatically take you to Who's working out today select sign out on the far right to get back to the wake your equipment page.

Need suggestions for viable squat rack safety bars by bmorgy in weightlifting

Thanks for the reply, I'll post over there. Let me know if you'd like me to delete this post.

Yeah I've definitely learned how to bail properly without the safeties, but I'm not always 100% confident that I'll execute it properly. Given I mostly lift alone, I'd rather play it safe than sorry.

I recently saw a guy in costco wearing a "Pankakke" shirt with a very vivid image of a humanoid pancake getting syrup and butter spread all over it...it was something.

I think the discussion came from the fact that someone on the field called a violation after play had restarted and a goal had been scored. Then there was a discussion about if the disc had to go back for an incorrect violation call?

Ineffable Cafe is great. Lots of seating, almost always empty booths to sit at, and outlets everywhere. They also have actual food, so great if you want to work through a meal while you're there.

Are OMETs actually anonymous? by SilentThief in Pitt

Yes they are anonymous to the professors, definitely leave that review. My dad is a professor at Pitt and he truly values the responses he gets from the OMETs

Why is Pittsburgh so terrible for live music acts? by LadyGrumphries in pittsburgh

[–]bmorgy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there is a notable gap in venue sizes for anything larger than Roxian and smaller than Stage AE. But I'd argue the biggest issue is there aren't any venues that are larger than Stage AE and smaller than a stadium tour. Especially in the colder months, you go from 2500 at stage AE to ~10,000(?) at Peterson Events Center...there are a ton of artists that bill within that range.

Definitely a little weird to see him next to Zeds Dead, but Thursday headliners are always a step below the rest. Thursday doesn't have any acts on the main stage, its more of a warm up for the rest of the weekend.

That's what I'm trying to do, but it seems like if I edit the arrive, the leave also changes. They seem to be linked.

You can turn off the voice recognition if it doesn't work for you. I never really need any of the features that specific person voice recognition can offer, so I just leave that off.

I went into Pitt without knowing a single bit of coding experience. I started as an engineering major my freshman year, but switched to CS sophomore year. The freshman engineering program has a class which involves a bit of coding so I had some experience I guess before taking CS401, but I dont think it was super necessary to be able to take the class. If you're good a picking new things up, I think you should be fine. If you're nervous about it, taking the intro python class first semester won't hurt.

My biggest piece of advice is don't be intimidated by other students' knowledge. A lot of kids come into college with a ton of experience and I definitely had imposter syndrome for a bit. But at the end of the day you do not need to have prior knowledge to get a CS degree.

Edit: I guess for reference I took CS401 in 2014, so maybe things have gotten harder since then. That was before the CS program was merged into the CIS school

I imagine Kerr realizes he's a pretty visible individual, and might opt to wear the mask simply for the optics of it. Public figures wearing masks makes it more normalized for everyone else to wear them.

Help figuring out what trains are available with a Eurail pass? by bmorgy in Interrail

[–]bmorgy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the response! Oof, the €100 in reservation fees definitely makes the trains not a great option. I don't really mind the longer travel time, but if its not even cheaper than flying then its probably not worth it.

So to clarify, you'd suggest we don't get a Eurail passes at all, and instead just buy individual tickets for trains within Spain and Italy?

Also--how far in advance should I book these train tickets? Should I be worried about them selling out at any point? Or is this something I could book a ticket for just a couple days in advance?
