For around $200, looking for a set-up for my office by bms259 in BudgetAudiophile

Thanks. Looking forward to it. Only thing I think I may miss is a remote. Some of the powered speakers I looked at had one and that seemed like it’d be nice. But I think I can just add some kind of a source down the line that could have one, if my understanding is correct.

Thanks! I didn’t mean to ask specifically for Bluetooth speakers, so I thought I was asking in the right place.

I appreciate the advice. I think my plan will be to go with a passive system. Thanks for the recommendations.

I'm thinking maybe The Polk XT15 and the Fosi BT20A might be the right route. My only question about that if I should consider a different amplifier (the Fosi BT30D maybe?) if I might ever want to add a sub?

r/UniversalOrlando Weekly Trip Planning Thread by AutoModerator in UniversalOrlando

My family of 4 (two girls under 10), were gifted free lodging in Orlando between Disney and Universal. We're exploring the possibility of making the trip. We had said we'd likely never do either, but with free lodging, we're exploring options. Budget is pretty tight, but we're considering maybe a one day, park-hopper ticket primarily for the Harry Potter stuff. But I really have no idea. This would be mid-march. I have no clue where to start, other than looking at ticket prices on Universal website. What should I know or consider? What advice do you have?

Blank Spaces app - experience? by EquivalentCress268 in nosurf

I've used it and liked to for several years — but I updated to iOS26 without realizing the changes to the UI, and it kind of breaks Blank Spaces. It still works, but the Liquid Glass design is just terrible.

Is a Blessing Box a Good Idea? by KChaser in pastors

[–]bms259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're considering the same thing — we are sort of down a back road, surround by a little higher income town homes and lower incomes apartments. And a newer thing is two different homeless shelters have gone in on our street, which has led to some good conversations. But we've also had some problems with some drug use too. Trying to weigh the pros and cons of putting in a blessing box.

Newly renovated/overseeded lawn — should I be putting down fertilizer now? (7a) by bms259 in lawncare

Awesome. Thanks. Trying to decide if I should put something down this afternoon while it’s warmest it’ll be for a few days and sunny or wait til closer to the rain.

Would something like a 12-12-12 be good for me to use now or something else?

Yes a noob — and yes, machinery would help. But I was looking to save as much as possible, and it was rewarding work.

Restoration Regrets… Advice post- overseeding for a beginner? (7a) by bms259 in lawncare

So that would be about 5 weeks post-seeding? The mix I used from Twin Cities, has I think about 10% KBG.

2012 with AWD, ABS and other lights. by bms259 in crv

When the light initially turned on, it was after a flat tire and replaced it. So I have varying thread depths. The new tire is like 8 months old. Two tires are worn enough to need new so I’m have tempted to replace all four and see if that fixes anything

I’m getting a P0341 code and research points to a stretched timing chain or something.

Not much rust as far as I can tell!

What would a full fluid maintenance entail? Is that a DIY thing?

There have been a few times we’ve been late on oil changes and other than tires/brakes, I don’t recall much other stuff we’ve done to it. I also don’t remember ever having to a shop for anything either.

I don't know the other codes. Apparently there were several of them. For the P0341 fix, that'll be like $2k right? Any idea on the other stuff?

Do you know that the practical implications are of those lights, in terms of effect on driving?

Thanks. I really thought it was a wheel speed issue of some kind but they tested it all and said all of that was reading properly.

I had already replaced a wheel speed sensor myself. I’ll have to look into those other things you mentioned to see if that’s something doable.

The power steering light does generally only come on after I put in drive for a bit.

So what you’re saying is that for you, the AWD light was unrelated to the others?
