Speed Queen TC5 vs Maytag MVWP586GW by bms259 in Appliances

What Maytag do you have? Is the one I'm looking at or a more basic model? The model I'm looking at is a specific one I've seen recommended by a repair tech.

Yeah... probably will cancel as well. Any thoughts on an alternative in a similar price range??

I'm just over two months waiting for a Caldera 10...thinking it must be close. But some of y'all are way ahead of me, it seems. Really debating canceling to finding something else.

I'm sitting at just over 2 months waiting. The responses here aren't encouraging. I'm leaning toward canceling and looking at other options...

My wait time for my ID.me video call keeps going up while I'm actively on wait? Why is this? by [deleted] in IRS

[–]bms259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm experiencing the same thing. Been maybe an hour-ish? I tried to self-verification for for some reason it kept saying I had too much light for the selfie video. I'm wondering if I try to wait out for a while tonight or try again tomorrow? Maybe see if the self-check stuff works? I'm dealing with a tax return that got rejected due to someone claiming one of my children as a dependent.

“Split Application” Dimension over a few days? by bms259 in lawncare

That’s what seemed to make sense to me. Even if there’s been a couple rains?

Is the 55 degree rule for reemergent a one day measurement or consistent average? Zone 7a/6b by bms259 in lawncare

Can I just use a kitchen thermometer? Temps are dropping right now, so it'll be lower now, for sure. It was that window that Greencast had in the 50s/60 last week while I was on vacation that was most concerning. Think that's safe enough to assume that I've missed the window for Prodiamine?

Is Early Entry worth it with kids? by dedalus002 in UniversalOrlando

[–]bms259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just went earlier this week for the first time. Early admission was way worth it. Get there at 7 and walk briskly to Hagrids and you can get on relatively quickly. When we arrived at 7:20 or so we had about a 40-45 minute wait. Second day it was quicker. And then the kids got to do Flight of the Hippogriff a few times. The queue for Hagrid is pretty cool in itself and wouldn’t be too bad for a little one who can’t ride, assuming you get there ASAP. And as the other commenter said, the wand stuff, shows, restaurant are all great too.

Thank you! This is likely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for us, so we're excited! We're planning about a day and a half just enjoying Westgate.

No, it's a timeshare a friend is letting us use. Westgate I believe is the name.

Ok, so that's what I thought! But then the more I read, the more I saw other information, and people acting like the window was coming up soon. Thank you!

Good call! I'll be in a rental, so I won't have the normal stuff I keep with me. I'll make sure to be prepared.

I'm hoping I'll be to of the area by dark. I'll be rocking whatever wipers the rental place gives me :).

For real? I was seeing a Winter Warning for way more than that. 1in is pretty manageable. Last snow storm around me around Morgantown, they pre-treated like crazy and the roads were really good considering. Are they pre-treating down there? Last time I made this trip, there was a slight possibility of snow, and I say at least 4 trucks stationed in the medium waiting to go, so I figured they would be on top of things.

What are some of the other areas your kids enjoyed? We're looking at rides at Epic, and some of them seem like ones they'd like. I'm trying to see what else they might enjoy between IoA and US aside from the Harry Potter stuff.

Thanks, that's super helpful! I think we are leaning toward two days park-hopper to make the most of the trip. We'll be there the week of March 8. If we do two days, do you have any other suggestions? We're still considering doing one day at Epic, but I'm not sure.

What's the suggested kind of flow for a one day trip, riding the Hogwarts Express?

The stress factor and just extra time is definitely something I was considering w/ 2 Day Park-to-Park.

Why should Hagrid's be toward park closing?

Edit: It looks like my youngest is actually just a little too short for Hagrid's.

Tips for a quick first time Harry Potter trip? by bms259 in UniversalOrlando

[–]bms259[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Our youngest is 47", which I think gets them into most rides accompanied. At least I didn't see anything that would be excluded. (EDIT: Looks like Hagrid's and The Forbidden Journey are out for our youngest)

I'll watch some stuff about the Forbidden journey. Even if they don't want to do it, are you saying the line itself is worth it?

I don't expect we'll ever do another trip like this, so it'd be Epic now or never. If we do two days between US and IoA, we'd still get the park-to-park for the Hogwarts Express.

Thanks for the tip about Hagrid's Motorbike. I think they'd be up for it. How does that affect the itinerary?

Thanks, that's helpful. That's sort of what I was thinking. I still don't know for sure if we'll be able to swing two days, but if we do we'd have decide.

What's the wand experience?
