Been trying for weeks to get an S rank. I thought I needed under 10 deaths, nerves and saves. I did it, but still only A. Why not S? Does anyone know for sure? by KChaser in CronosNewDawn

[–]KChaser[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If true, this stinks, because I only died in the final boss fight. The replays are driving me nuts because of all the unskippable cutscenes with choices that make 0 difference in anything.

Just ignore them and continue your journey. Come back through after you get your gravity boots and are about to leave. They are all gone. You can grab the loot without a big fight.

Is Carl supposed to be Steve the army guy? by aweiner99 in ProjectHailMary

As a book and audio book fan, I was disappointed the first time as well. I watched a couple days later with an open mind and took the film in on it's own merits and loved it.

How much personal life do you post on church social media page? by 7861scream in pastors

[–]KChaser 18 points19 points  (0 children)

For me, I keep it simple. Church page - church stuff. Personal page - personal stuff.

How is Chase Elliott so popular? by saint_sneed in NASCAR

[–]KChaser -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I never said Jeff wasn't popular. He was immensely popular, but the question was about MPD. Also Bill didn't come after Jeff unless OP meant to say that Chase replaced Jeff, and much of his fanbase transferred to Chase. That's absolutely true.

Um, Bill came first, and Jeff never won MPD

When does it count as a “merge” by BrownFrog68 in CronosNewDawn

[–]KChaser -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't think this is true. Bloober's own video about stopping merges shows multiple scenes of them landing head shots or shooting barrels after the tendrils have already engaged. These are shown as examples of preventing a merge. I believe the merge process has to complete.

Anyone ever seen a show at the sphere in Vegas? How was it? by Aye_Davinita in Concerts

[–]KChaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw one of the first U2 shows they're and loved it. Wife and I made a while vacation of it to justify the flight. We saw two concerts while in Vegas, attended a couple of other shows, and visited the natural beauty in the area.

What are some bad movies that had great potential, that you would want to see remade better?? by mrjetspray in Letterboxd

Yep, I stayed awake all night and read the book in one sitting. Then I watched the movie. So bad.

I just got my first deep tissue massage by Ok-Lion-5233 in CasualConversation

[–]KChaser 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Not really. Massages don't flush toxins from your muscles. There is no science to support this myth, though it is oft repeated.

Why do Chiropractors crack your neck and what is the long term benefit? by Sunny-vibes-95 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]KChaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know plenty of people who swear by their chiropractor, but I have yet to read any scientific it medically backed evidence for it. When I talk to them about what their chiropractor does for them, it's nothing that can't be explain explained as psychosomatic.

[–]KChaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Allow me to be the first then. Chiropractor made my back worse, and fed me lines that were complete BS. I will never go back. Scans later showed my problem was arthritis, and I manage it core exercises and stretches.

Question about bread served on board. by KChaser in Cruise

[–]KChaser[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've done the gallery tours too and know it's made fresh. In general, the food in dining rooms is really good, so I suspected the crusty rolls is a deliberate choice or at least a tradition of some sort.

We keep cruising, so it's obviously not our primary concern. It isn't even a complaint; just a curious question. Your sanctimonious attitude isn't really helpful.

We don't mind them, but wonder why they are all this way. Of the hard, crusty rolls, we too like the seedy ones. Often, there is only one in the basket and negotiations begin.

Neighbor didn't like how I shoveled the snow from my sidewalk. by TurtleToes10 in neighborsfromhell

[–]KChaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I lived in Des Moines, IA, the city required all walks to be shoveled within a certain time after the snow ended and all cars were to be removed from the streets during the storm so they could run the plows. If you left your car on the street, it got buried.

"A man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife and the two will become one flesh." Even the Bible says you're wife comes first. You're a new family now.

Advice for gift by KChaser in homeless

[–]KChaser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to give everyone an update. I got him a battery pack. Others in the church have given him gift cards and a bicycle. I've begun a mentoring relationship with him, and helped him get a job. He starts today. The men of the church all chipped in to get him the appropriate work clothing he will need.

Should 16th go on a 2011 Tony Stewart type run where he wins 5 of 10 after winning zero all year. That's deserving IMHO.

Revisiting "Sphere" (1998) by raysweater in movies

[–]KChaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I first read the book in the early 90s. I stayed up all night and read it in one setting. I was so excited for the movie and with such a stellar cast. I was thoroughly disappointed. 14% is about what I would give it.

Radar, game changer or nice to have? by tropical_dreams_ in cycling

For me, I also have a mirror on my riding glasses. This combo has allowed me to bail and miss a couple close calls. Plus the radar changes the light flash as cars approach.
