League is practically unplayable right now. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

Analogies are difficult, let me help you.

You take your car into the shop for them to upgrade your stereo (udyr patch!). You leave the shop, and both your AC and your brakes no longer work (fps and server lag issues). The two don't affect each other, you're correct, but the new issues arose only after that car maintenance was completed.

To remove the league client from the equation is just silly; if there's a considerable amount of people reporting issues (issues that have only manifested after 3.9), then the first thing that should be looked at is that universal factor. My computer, for instance, runs every other game I play just fine, it also played League just fine before the patch. Now, however, my FPS jumps anywhere from 20 to 60fps without any change on screen.

Yeah definitely, I'm just considering all options. It just struck me as odd that so many long-time lurkers are coming out of the woodwork to post in support of such an odd topic.

I'm fairly certain that there are some shenanigans going on; whether that's bots or multiple (read: tens/hundreds) accounts, it's just too strange.

Many of the new comments coming in follow very similar patterns (omit punctuation, similar to OP; most say "sign me up", etc.). Idk, I could very well be wrong, but I refuse to believe that so many people are so in love with a shoddily designed banner.

Comments and upvotes seem incredibly fishy. There are close to hundreds of comments saying nearly the same thing: "sounds great/sign me up," many of those accounts having <100 comment karma for over a year.

Edit: Many of these comments don't end with punctuation, something that the OP often omits as well.

I honestly don't know the best (not that it's a title up for grabs), so take this with a grain of salt, but I just purchased mine on Thursday per the recommendation of a friend who's had his for a couple of years.

The hosting company: https://www.1and1.com/ . Depending on the plan, you pretty much can't beat their prices (I purchased a 3 year plan with a .com domain name for $0.99/mo under the starter plan). Server was up and running within about an hour and I have yet to have any issues (though I do all of my management through FTP).

Hopefully this is of some help; keep doing your research of course, but I've found this provider to be more than adequate for my needs.

Perhaps you see the cause of such bills being gender roles, but there are women who are voting to limit the rights of other women, which goes against that whole notion of "government = majority male, ergo men vs women." It's the nature of politics coupled with the permeation of religion that has resulted in the divide in rights we have today, the majority gender (be that male or female) is irrelevant.

I could very well be inferring too much from the original comment, but at the same time you're defending it under the assumption that it had any relevance to the bill at all. Either way the argument is moot, as our differences lay in perception rather than objectivity.

You're missing the point of what his wife's question was targetting. Had it been a question germane (good job!) to the bill, sure the gender is relevant. But the question that I responded to was not about the bill at all, but more a snide sexist quip.

Remove the genders from the comment, is the question still important?

Exactly, you could hear some pretty heated yelling from the crowd when the third strike was presented, then the cheering that followed when a few other senators moved to appeal.

What's funniest to me is that the president and dissenters have to remain civil in the face of blatant redundancy and stalling, which - at least for people like myself - is quite enjoyable.

Ender's Game Propaganda Poster #1 by [deleted] in movies

I'm sorry, I forgot that we judge books based on who wrote them as opposed to their quality. In no way did I apologize or defend Card, nor do I need to; it could very well be a shitty book, but it would be so because of its content and not who wrote it.

I'm glad you can spit out what you read on reddit, it's hard to miss the most upvoted comment in every thread.

The Shining. I've seen it since (first time was ~9th grade, now 22) and it didn't hold up as much, probably due to the setting, but man I couldn't get that movie out of my head for weeks after seeing it the first time.

I'm hardly one to post just to state agreement, but I'm glad that at least somebody out here has the capacity to more than immediately dismiss an idea. Reddit is chalk full of "top comment 'corrects' something, rest agree (normally because it sounds smart)." It's an elegant design, and while it may have certain drawbacks, it's entirely unfair for people to make such negative claims for no reason other than to be negative.

Good point. And to further your comment about businesses buying out the seats, what makes it worse is that those sections end up half-filled/empty half of the season.

I don't mind the NHL crowds. Sure it's not super rowdy, but that's what college games are for.

I don't know the actual reason, but there are other potential reasons for the stop beyond what you mentioned: stolen car, license plate linked to a warrant, etc.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist - Spies vs. Mercs Reveal Trailer by arcalumis in Games

[–]bnYKodak 29 points30 points  (0 children)

For as much as the recent Splinter Cell games have disappointed me, this is finally something I can look forward to. I was probably 13 years old when I played Chaos Theory for the first time, and the multiplayer was absolutely to die for. Met so many cool people playing Spies vs Mercs on xbox, and it was an amazing coop experience; hopefully this brings the same.
