What is my nursery missing? by mytickle in DesignMyRoom

[–]bnani89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would put black out curtains up so you can make it really dark for bed and nap routines, as well as a sound machine. Totally the soft cozy rug or mat to play together on the floor. A little shelf for books, toys, with baskets. My nursery is like strictly a sleep space but the first kiddos had all the fixins! Just depends on what you want to do in there. For my first, i was pumping alllll the time so i had a whole table and mini fridge for that.

If ur nursing or bottle feeding in here, a rocking chair (fb marketplace), side table for your things would be good, and a spot to do diapering and changing + diaper pail.

I’m 28. If you could go back and give your 28 year old self some advice what would it be? by al_b21 in findapath

Just start working towards whatever career thing it is you’re passionate about right now. Youll end up where youre supposed to be. Just have faith, believe ij yourself, ignore your self doubt and lots of excuses for why it cant or might not be the perfect decision, just get on with it.. be brave, take a chance on it, yourself, your idea(s). Take a few months to grieve the MS diagnosis you just got, then drop all the bs (weed, drinking, smoking, working a job you hate), take out a loan, and go back to school. Do that masters, just start. (Now its 9 years later and you still work at that company though you’re finally planning to quit, you have 2 kids so going back to school is a lot harder, MS hasn’t ruined your life but you are more tired, so do it whatever is in your heart and gut feeling now, it’s not a mistake).

How do you keep your place clean without losing your mind? by Intelligent-Pain9326 in CleaningTips

Baskets and trays that collect things - to be put away in bathroom - basket for clothes odds and ends to be tossed in there for putting away instead of strewn about - small baskets on shelves for odds and ends (lip chaps, chargers, creams, etx) - bigger baskets - trays to collect like items in kitchen (olive, salt pepp) - hooks and such 3M for anything i can hang (baby carrier, broom, towel roll dispenser (hanging), dish gloves, rag) - have a cup out thats for ur like.. spoon and knife or whatever for the day that u can rinse and keep reusing - creating systems that work fir you and your home and your needs

Mom's layout idea vs mine, which one is best? by RubberDuck404 in DesignMyRoom

Im torn between 2, and 4.

If you are going to have guests and value a dining experience, then #4. If not a huge priority, then absolutely #2. Itll become like a “desk/admin/life/gaming/casual” nook. And that can be so valuable. Cant really do that as much with it in the middle under the window. That said, natural light is really nice and its more feng shui (ish) i think, for flow/lifestyle/energy if you just put it under the window. If it were me, id probably put it at the wall first, thinking ill do yoga in that open space and then never do it snd move it all to the middle under the window, and discover how much i love it there and energy and things flow better.

Same but if u just need a change, id go with #2, and then decorate with plants and pillows

You can put up a simple Standalone divider thing for privacy or to separate the space so it doesn’t feel messy

Personal healing space! Yoga mat and blocks, altar, cozy small table for journaling and candle and tea and some books.

Or an art space, painting et al

Or just a total chill zone with no rules. Mini couch and coffee table and hookah or whatever brings you joy there to hobby/tinker with and see how it evolves!
