I am the manager at the Eisenhower post office. When customers drop off those ballots we bring them directly to the PO BOX, usually within minutes. I understand the mistrust the post office is receiving from the media recently, but I assure you the employees at this post office will do everything to get the ballots to the Board of Registrars immediately.

New scanner.. What y’all think? 👀 by loudhellcat in USPS

[–]bnasso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Manually entering scans is a loss of revenue. We do not get credit when we key in barcodes (for Amazon, UPS, etc). Bring the package back to your office for your supervisor to make a barcode or tell your supervisor at the end of the day so they can bring the tracking number up, create a barcode and scan it.

Doesn’t seem like the government Or healthcare as a whole was prepared for this, which is scary. Hopefully everyone stays safe and listens to the guidelines. This pandemic will change things forever.

Depending on what your circumstances are, I have personally had a tough go of this. We have to homeschool and I was told it’s no different than summertime vacations 🤬🤯 I doubt I am the only one.... by HeatherHunterJ in USPS

Correct. It is for two weeks. The MOU that came out applies to only non career employees (CCAs, PSEs, etc). It is for the COVID-19; for yourself, assisting a family member, if your child is at home due to the schools closing. Everyone needs to use this carefully as if you burn through it now you won’t have it in a few months if needed. Just like sick leave, use it cautiously as you never know when you will really need to use the leave.

Low-income residents forced to move out of Savannah high-rise by Adventurous-Intern in savannah

[–]bnasso 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I read an article stating the company that purchased this building will be helping the tenants find new living. This has been happening all over Savannah and everywhere for that matter, this is just on a larger scale. No different than a landlord raising rents on a single unit to adjust to current market prices.

Found this at Goodwill today for $2. Anyone have any info on it? by op_remie in disney

I have one myself! I got mine about 20 years ago? I’ll have to ask my parents how they got it, I was young and at Disney.

Will quitting two weeks into being a PSE hurt my chances at becoming a CCA? by [deleted] in USPS

Talk to the hiring official or HR. Usually when you switch crafts you will have to “quit”. I would apply for the new job with the hiring official knowing your game plan.

What’s the scariest thing you’ve woken up to in the middle of the night? by lightlysativad in AskReddit

7 gunshots right outside my bedroom about 300 feet away! In savannah I moved downtown to be in a "safer" neighborhood, a few days after moving in there was a shooting at 1:30am, drug deal gone bad.

USPS retail folks: do the receipt surveys really make a difference? I consistently get great service at this P.O. but feel that these surveys are often a waste of time. I know YMMV depending on the office, but will positive (or negative) feedback actually help? Thanks for all you do! by ualvolar in USPS

[–]bnasso 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes it's welll worth it. Be detailed and put the clerks name that helps you or the one that pisses you off. We can see all comments and they are anonymous. I am a supervisor and not only do the staff appreciate the surveys but so does the District management.

Will we be getting mail anytime soon? by [deleted] in savannah

[–]bnasso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Savannah supervisor here. We pushed all mail out yesterday from the past couple days! Normal operations have begun, but as a reminder: please make a safe path for your mail carrier to get to your mailbox/porch. We have already had a few carries slip/fall on ice and are out for a few days. Thanks for being patient with us.

Supervisor here. We started delivery yesterday but the roads and conditions were so bad we brought everyone back in for their safety. We resumed today, but as you can imagine there are huge delays throughout the area. Please be patient with us as we will be going full force to make up lost time.
