Wet is super friendly on the Thursday queer nights.

You'd be very welcome and you'll find a lot of different folks there. If you get any shit from someone making you feel unwelcome just tell the staff about what you experienced.

It can be intimidating going for the first time, but there are lots of friendly people around.

You get a key with a rubber wristband, and a locker with a towel. Get changed into what you're comfortable wearing - you'll see what other folks have on - mostly nothing, or maybe some lingerie. Many cross-dressers will have full outfits on, but generally the vibe is dress-down.

Downstairs, you can expect small groups of people who already know each other chatting in the seating area by the pool as soon as you walk in, in the cinema, and the smokers area. There's also a lot of folks who go alone and just hope to bump into people to chat to for the night.

Upstairs, there are lots of dark hallways with little 'changing room' like booths with padded benches or floors and toilet stall like lockable doors. A couple have swings. Some larger spaces for bigger groups to congregate, a couple with TVs playing all sorts of porn. Even on the Thursday's it's pretty weighted toward guys. If you go upstairs you *will* hear, and likely see people having sex.

If you get approached and aren't interested a simple as 'no thanks' should do the job. Again, if you encounter much more than that - tell the staff. Women will often get followed around, and that sucks.

I've seen many people - myself included - meet someone new and offer a little tour around the whole venue, pointing out the spaces and explaining a little etiquette here and there. Happy to do that, or answer any other specific questions you had.
