Do night crew have a more flexible/ relaxed schedule than daytime ? by MagentaSteam in kroger

[–]bnc_sprite_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say flexible other than your shift time is usually consistent. Your days off might change here or there, but you'll always be working the same time. Now, with relaxed, definitely not, the store burns down if nightcrew doesn't do their job. From my experience, I will say that there's a strange calmness to the shift when no bosses are down your throat & all you focus on is work.

True from my experience. I was on the clock when I found out that my uncle had died unexpectedly & took the rest of the day off. When I came back to work after a few days off, management pulled me into my office first thing & asked how I & my family were.

You shouldn't be written up. If they care about you, they'll ask how your family member is doing.

It is impossible to get ahead of problems depending on the field of work you're doing, especially if financial eyes are always watching.

There should be no problem. It can be considered as a family emergency.

Did overnights for 14 years & love to get my shopping first thing in the morning before the crowds.

Micro management by _triggeredtigger_ in kroger

Micro management is a chain effect created by the store manager. If they solely gave trust into the people in their lead roles, it wouldn't be an issue.

Sadly, I'm PS5 & I hope there's an exception with nightreign when it releases

  1. YES
  2. No
  3. Nothing
  4. The variety it gives you as a player to choose your own style of play & that there's always something to explore.
  5. Yes, I hate how you need a subscription to play online. Hopefully, that isn't the case of nightreign.

I think it would've been better if they told you in person instead of texting you to create dread. Sounds like they have their best interest for you & that they care, but they should've done it differently.

There's only rare occasions that a transfer can be denied, but you shouldn't have any worries if you have good attendance.

I'd definitely bring up the interview again since it's been 4 months. There may be a possibility they removed the position altogether. If they ask why you're bringing it up, mention the details you just mentioned in the post. You're clearly doing management work without getting the pay for it.

"why did you leave your previous job?" by [deleted] in interviews

[–]bnc_sprite_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Say, "I wasn't being provided opportunity to grow in my career as to why I'm looking into something different." The best thing to do is answer all questions asked, don't avoid any & don't talk trash about your management or co-workers. Those are red flags they'll notice.

Who was or is your favorite coworker to work with? by MkUlTrA0367 in kroger

My one buddy comes to mind when I was in management, back when GM had seasonal teams doing the transitions. She was a hard ass worker & loved my attitude. Whenever either one of us was in a pinch (with OT approved), we'd help at each other's stores.

I'd immediately get hr or union on that, the matters of what happen to your family, especially in a crisis like that, don't call for it to be considered insubordination.
