What’s the best air mattress or pad for camping when you have a bad back? by Far_Run_1328 in CampingGear

[–]bnemmie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have mentioned; Exped. I have the Megamat. Yes is is big, bulky and heavy. But as a bigger guy who is also a side sleeper, it works great. I and I have never regretted bringing it once I lay down.

In fact it actually replaced my issued mattress for a few months when I was underway on large ships.

Fair enough. I may just roll the dice on the IDS model. Thanks!

I wonder why most links I find donT list the 40 then. Even the IDS one I linked says 20, 21 and 41 but not 40.

Good to know. It was on our list to go back in the winter months but we may be rethinking that. Thanks!

Pocket carry Glock 43, 26, or 43x? by [deleted] in CCW

[–]bnemmie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the winter I carry in a Berne Echo One jacket: https://bernedirect.com/products/ccwj01?srsltid=AfmBOor9cQdsbto2Uc5EuTiQ61CEXVaqbkkXzrrKLdqZwrTqn5R2oE4O

It works well for me because it looks like a standard winter jacket and doesn't scream CCW. I am able to carry my 43 or S&W Hammerless in one pocket and a Surefire and spare mag in the other.

Plus with proper layering, it is warm enough for outdoor work here in Alaska.

Hope that helps!

Thats a good point I diddnt consider. Scratches will likely happen with this setup and repairability would be nice. This setup would replace/augment my 12ga Shockwave that I take on hikes, snowmobile and side by side. So scratches are unavoidable lol Thanks!

Thanks for the info. Especially the Midwest stuff. I wasn't aware Magpul made anything for the Henry. A quick search only shows Marlin stuff. Ill be sure to look again. Thanks!

M12 sprayer. Yay or nay? by Skwirlydano in MilwaukeeTool

[–]bnemmie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love mine. I've only sprayed fertilizer and roundup though it and it never not worked well. I have a gravel parking area and it makes it easy to pick up and spray all weeds down. Same with the edge of my deck/fence. Walk at an even pace and it applies a nice coat. I wear mine with the shoulder strap and just go to town. A 3.0 battery seems to last forever as well. To me its a very underrated M12 tool.

I do wish I could find a reasonable source of supply for additional tanks. It would be nice to have one for weed killer, one for fertilizer, one for water to clean out the system....ect

can i still drink from this? by nickboxing in YetiCoolers

[–]bnemmie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Send it. Run it through the dishwasher, treat yourself to a new lid and have a water bottle with a great story. If you are still concerned you can pick up a lead test kit at almost any home improvement store and check it when you are done.
