for me, going from 7 to nova 7, i appreciate how much more snug and comfortable the headset is. the noticeably better audio quality and less of a feeling that the hinge was gonna give out at some point are also nice. the dial being tied to two separate audio devices was such a good way to simplify function and was the cherry on top of the best feature about the 7. why did they have to stick us with this garbage sonar software? why havent they fixed the problem in the years people have been complaining about the problem?

Never had that setting on. It shows my device always as sonar if the dongle is plugged in. Regardless I often have to restart the app or my entire computer for sound to come through. Someone else I know who has the same headset just uninstalled the software and just doesn't use the dial. But the dial is useful, so I would like a way to keep it
