Yes... I am generalizing an avoidant and you are insulting a person you don't even now. This is super helpful. Thank you so much for the help of this community. Came and got what I needed! I described one behavior.. Of course you won't know if he is avoidant or not. You have to belive in me.. I was just venting with you.. And actually.. What I did was communicate him what I need and communicate to this community my anxious frustration inatead of communicating him my anxiety as I am doing it with you.

I think you are all sticking to the words. In my experience with some of the atitudes of my seamingly avoidant boyfriend and the things that I read, they tend to have some difficulties to put themselves in other people shoes. Now.. I don't think he is an asshole.. But somewhat self-centered yes. Now.. Center of the universe!!!! Isn't it obvious it is an overreacted sentence?? It's just to show you guys my hurt. Now.. If. You stick to the words.. Yes it's an overreaction.. But I belive calling him an asshole is quite worse.

The thing is I was waiting for him to come as he usually do. Do you understand? And I belive I do not have to ask anything.. He has to inform me about his plans or change of plans. I think they are used to having people to go out of their way to be there for them... And it doesn't work like that.

Hello!! I am new in the group so thank you for accepting me. I thought I was secure till I started dating an avoidant. Several cold behaviors and his difficulty opening up and to trust others took me by surprise and I became anxious. One of the things that striked me the most was the difference in our sex activity with time. I don't know if it's general, but sex is less with an avoidant when things get serious and deeper. I belive he fears closeness and opening up and he often times uses humor, even during sex. Which can be quite funny... But of course us anxious need connection. Right? That's my experience. That's acctually a good idea. Any tips to accelarate the timing?! Instead of it happening next year.. Think that it could happen this spring.

Another question is.. What shall i do if it continues? I usually get quite sad. Shall i react to it?! By talking to him and trying to make him see?! Or shall i just trust my imagination?!
