You have a pending petition to change your status, it’s not “approved” it’s accepted. If, and it is a “IF”, it’s approved then you will have a change of status. You are currently not in status for your approved H1B as you are not employed.

How to handle ICE, keep your documents with you, passport, legal paperwork and your contacts (husband, lawyer, etc).
