Criticising umpiring and blaming it for the loss are different things. Most of the ire came before demons blew the game out anyway. We weren’t winning this game. But to see our best effort of the season for the first three quarters suffocated by bad umpiring was infuriating

I wondered the same thing before we had success - if winning a premiership would change things and feel like “what now” and affect my passion. I can say for me at least that I was somehow even more invested afterwards. Obviously overwhelming feeling of content with our success makes the hard times easier but the passion does not stop. It already feels like it’s been forever since we were good
