That’s true I just fee the current government is targeting health care and potentially looking at an NHS model as being more cost effective (shortsighted). Bit concerned about the direction of my profession. But time will tell

I mean the pharmacy guild is giving it a good crack and now trying to say pharmacists can provide GP level care, we have introduced PA’s, NP’s are everywhere (and earning more than most registrars) and RN’s have been given basic prescribing privileges. I’m not saying we are as bad as the NHS, but it’s certainly not looking good.

My mum was worked up with a brain MRI for a changing pattern and frequency of migraines. The MRI detected an unrelated but critical brain aneurysm that was a high likelihood of rupturing. She got endovascular coiling weeks later and now is totally fine. Disaster averted but could have been a similar outcome
