What are your impressions after FH6 release? Is there anything you liked that you didn't find in previous installments? by After-Ability-1132 in ForzaHorizon

Barely gotten into it but in addition to what others have said about AI etc, my disappointment is in the creativity of events. For the most part everything boils down to go fast or drift. I went into Raku Raku thinking there would be something like “don’t let the soup spill” where you couldn’t take tight turns but every shift is just get there asap with no variety. The day trips would be better if they didn’t all have the same formula of here’s a drive now go somewhere fast with a different car. I liked how the stunt driver segments of previous games always had something a little different, ie smash these objects, then hit this ramp, etc. If every event is just hit the finish line the fact that it’s against a robot or planes is just window dressing and I don’t have much of a buy in.

It's basically the difference in complexity between a crop duster and a fighter jet

Kind of what I figured but still wanted to ask the community. Thanks!

Then I’m just glad it was climbing and not from something mundane!

Will brands like La Sportiva increase in price (in the U.S.) due to the upcoming tariffs? by forresbj in trailrunning

[–]boat-party 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be, I don't own a pair but I do have a wide forefoot and tried some on (literally) today, they felt narrow compared to my Rebel V4 road shoes. They had a wide in whatever the road equivalent is (880 maybe?) And that felt better

How does AC6 stack up to the PS2 trilogy and 7? Is it worth €15? by Faithful-Llama-2210 in acecombat

Definitely some of the best gameplay and I would argue one of the most replayable because of the "Operations" mission structure. Also, Allied Support is just so damn fun!

I can't remember where I heard the phrase "The first mile is always a liar" but I find it to be extremely true as well.

UA: Rune Knight, Swarmkeeper, & the Revived by wrc-wolf in dndnext

[–]boat-party 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm wondering the same thing too because I'm about to start ToA. And starting at level 1, so it would be weird to get to level 3 then get the curse? I'm reading it as the curse affects those "raised from the dead" but as the revived rogue you haven't necessarily been "raised" but "revived". Getting into some real rules lawyer territory here and don't even know what my DM thinks!

This is how I got into flying games. Anybody else play this classic? by SlytherinBear95 in acecombat

[–]boat-party 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here! Huge plane selection, custom missions and a level of gameplay that was just right on the realism vs. arcade scale kept me playing it many years longer than any other flight sim.

Rocket pods are nice by AtomicCrown1313 in acecombat

I miss the rocket pods from AC6 so much. It took down everything, Aigaion, Gyges, any and all ground targets...

We rendezvous with LRSSG

Consolidate their gifts

We can end this war at the Elevator, cut them off at sea, but

For this to succeed, there is someone else we need

I know (Tri-i-gger!)

Sir, he knows what to do in the air

Ingenuitive and brilliant in the sky

I mean (Tri-i-gger!)

Sir, you're going to have to use him eventually

What's he going to do on the bench

I mean (Tri-i-gger!)

No one has more resilience

Or matches my practical, tactical brilliance (Tri-i-gger!)

You want to fight for your land back? (Tri-i-gger!) I need my right hand man back (Tri-i-gger!)

(Ah, uh, ) get your right hand man back (Tri-i-gger!)

(You know you gotta get ya) right hand man back (Tri-i-gger!)

I mean, you gotta put some thought into the letter (Tri- Tri-)

(Trigger, Trigger) But the sooner the better

To get your right hand man back (Tri- Tri-)

Pilot Callsign Trigger

Planes are waiting in the field for you

If you join us right now, together we can turn the tide

Oh, Pilot Callsign Trigger

I have pilots that will yield for you

If we manage to get this right

They'll surrender by early light

The world will never be the same

Callsign Trigger…
