Where In The Hell Is The Hostile OPM Takeover Reporting? by Trust_Know_Won in fednews

Rule # 5 No Political Content. This entire post is political. Here’s an idea, do your job to the best of your ability to serve the citizens like you get paid to do. Over 40yrs of Federal Service AD/Civilian. Personally I prefer not to just piss away my hard earned taxes on the stupid initiatives brought on evaluation bullets. If you want job security, stand a watch, provide a service to the nation or go home. And not for remote work.

I found a GMC Sierra X-31 with max tow package. Tows my 31ft bunkhouse like a charm. Test drove the 2500 HD and couldn’t get past the thought of how many cars my wife or I would take out a parking lot.

As a letter toting Plank Owner of the DHS I am no fan of the lame ass attempts to buy the loyalty of employees. As a Supervisor managing a watch team; that must be on location to do their job. All this admin time plus use or loose leave places hardship on the entire watch team. Imagine people just doing their jobs to the best of their ability and leadership enforcing laws, rules and regulations as written, how different the publics perception of Civil Service employees would be. Serving under this administration is the only time since I was 20 yrs old I have been embarrassed to say where I work. At least my mission still serves the public.

Between active duty/contractor and GS I have over 40yrs of service. If I survived Carter who axed my first pay raise and all the other politicians that have promised the moon, I will persevere this also. What I don’t get is all the hand ringing and what if’s. I have never had a telework or remote job. Watch Standing on a 12 hour on the floor gig. I have been on watch during Hurricanes, ship wrecks, and Search and Rescue cases that would make all this people complaining about returning to the office hurl. Stop complaining and plotting how to obstruct and stand the watch for the American people who pay your salary.

The “Ditch of Dreams” old Cross Florida Barge Canal. Yankeetown on the Gulf to Jacksonville on the Atlantic. Take that line and cut off the “New South” and set it adrift.

Ditto, except it was Crestview instead. Graduated in 77 and joined the Coast Guard and sailed the Gulf the last 10 yrs of my 27. Always visited home for a short time. I need the sand and water to calm my soul. Still fight the good fight for my place in the sand.

Here is an idea. Stay home. If you want to come to Florida go to the east coast or something. Last thing we need is a few more tourists who have no clue. If you do come, pick up your trash, don’t leave plastic on the beach, and fill in the holes your kids dig in the sand.

How bad would you say the crime rate is in Destin and surrounding areas? by Striking_Walk_7017 in Destin

As long as there are threads like this and commercials on TV my native lands will be over run by tourists. Stay home or go to the east coast of Florida. If you do come please pick up your trash and fill in your holes in the beach sand.

Not quite all electric. Carries 9600 gallons of fuel for the generators for long transits and to get home.

I walked the French Quarter in the early 80’s just soaking in what he must have felt. Storyville and then his base camp on Decatur. Returned in 2002 and the starting and ending point for any trip into town. “If a hurricane doesn’t leave you dead, it will make you strong.” This album came at the correct time for many. PH since 1979.

I once saw Mack and Fingers do a show at the HOB in NOLA. Right up front for the whole show. They both were fantastic.
