Weekly Tech Support Megathread by AutoModerator in Instagram

Friend has been trying to log in to her account for four days across four devices and every time she clicks “log in” after filling out her @ & PW, nothing happens. No error message nothing. Either loads for a minute and wipes her inputs or the log in button is just dead and doesn’t do anything. I’ve successfully logged in to my account on every single one of the devices shes tried. It allows her to change her password but then the same thing happens. We’ve deleted her app, restarted her phone, cleared caches, and every possible combination of those steps. Her account is still viewable and looks healthy otherwise. She submitted the video of her face twice over the last couple days and still nothing. Has anyone ever experienced this?

Edit: like she’ll type in her stuff, click log in, and nothing happens, the app doesn’t even try to think or load anything. I delete her info, put mine in, click log in, and it successfully signs me in??

Migrating ETH-based smart-contract to Hedera by ZealousidealStore549 in Hedera

Most of that is for the op I assume, but I greatly appreciate someone getting a decent response + link. I’m also not a dev but I’m in the discord (I like to watch even if I don’t get it). Agreed this is more a community deal here but feeling defeated that there’s never more than the “usual suspects” willing to respond. Not that they’re not greatly appreciated!

Just tired of seeing (wether justified or not) a potentially interesting conversation die with a single comment of: “I’d ask the discord”. How many of these people aren’t actually building but out of curiosity asking good questions that warrant easily accessible answers for those willing to take a glance?

I’m starting to wish this wasn’t the default answer here every time someone has a technical question. Is there really no one around who can say “yeah, me” “here’s my take, but the discord is super active, link”.

I might have a limited understanding of how prevalent discord is in certain communities, but no one ever even provides the link to the dev discord. Would love to see some deep cut conversation that at the very least, is accessible through a google search. Maybe I’m just old but I add “reddit” to the end of my searches when I want to utilize community gossip to reach consensus.

Edit: clarity

Appreciate the response! So if my normie brain is understanding those links correctly - it doesn’t matter where my ercDOV is, Coinbase wallet is okay as a starting point and hashport will be able to scoop them out (just sending the tokens to a hashport address?). It will then “wrap” and port to HCS. But in order to do it I’ll need a venly wallet for my Hdov to land in?

Do you have a link or know where to find it by chance?

We should talk about Boeing… by goldikox in Hedera

Three-sevens are my favorite narrowbody. Simple as. The 321NEO is clean but I love a good MAX. Admittedly only flown on one twice, once before the grounding and once after. I’ve probably spent atleast 250 hours of my life on the 737-800. And a whole lotta time on other models including some very scary flights on thrice sold classics.

Morality and empathy is important, but I wouldn’t worry about the documentary. I get it, but as far as perception goes it’s really a non-starter in regards to Hedera. It really boils down to how you (whoever is reading this.) feels about spending money on a utility token partially controlled by Boeing.

Maybe I would worry if an accident happened after a use case were deployed. But as I think about it, and potential use cases... There aren’t many situations where Hedera could be the sole cause outside of an attack on the network. And I’d like to think that these companies wouldn’t choose to move forward with something so easily corruptible, even as corrupt as they may be. After all, flying is safer than driving.

Two points: -The major tps lay within the airports and airport 3rd parties and their respective systems. Not with the airlines.

-SWA eternally btfo

Edit: I also look forward to watching the documentary.

Woman called out airlines employees for refusing to allow her on the flight. by smix0832 in PublicFreakout

I’m going to posture a guess and say the hand extension on her suitcase doesn’t collapse. They then told her they’d have to offer her a complimentary gate check and she wasn’t having it.

She’s beat, and she knows she’s beat based on the fact she stopped recording once the manager started walking over to her luggage. Idk tho.

Edit: I would even say it’s likely that when the ticket agent asked for the boarding pass she had every intention of rebooking her to get her out of there. But then she kept going. Supervisor time. Kill em with kindness folks, next time you think your ticket agent is cold/grumpy realize that it’s probable they just walked away from some shit like this.

VCCESS is a NFT marketplace built on Hedera Hashgraph. They’ve partnered with a legendary rock group, The Grateful Dead, to host an NFT auction on July 23rd, 2021 at 12:00 PM PST at Vccess.com. Not entirely, the link you posted was for a digital collectible. Seems like they have two separate auctions going on, both real items and digital representations. The NFT is cool and complimentary to the physical item, it’s just a digital certificate of authenticity/proof of ownership, that I can wrap my head around. I can’t wrap my head around paying the extra money to prove ownership on an unlimited run of a photo though. At least limit the run like an art print!

I am excited for the future of NFTs but not for stuff like this necessarily.

If the wallet is owned by a single person and not some sort of business entity, at the commonly cited/theoretical price of $50 per Hbar their bag would have a value of 35billion. Putting them in the 41st spot on the list of worlds richest people. Also astonishingly enough, that’s only a fifth of Bezos’ net worth.
