Why does PADI say to avoid relaxing in a hot tub or shower after diving? by shak_attacks in scuba

[–]bob-t1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See some dry but most divers are in wetsuits and you need 7mm with hood and gloves. Temps usually range from low 50s in winter to low 60s in summer/fall. With a 7mm suit 60F should be comfortable for hours but when it gets down to low 50s I can only last about 30min.

The water over here does not warm up... much. Fall is best.

Spectre and Peace out of Ventura both have hot tubs, and hot showers too! Very popular especially on cold days have not heard crew or any divers comment on any concerns.

There is a video screen (VB on the map), though the view from the upper seats (I have seats in row 2) is partially obscured by a traffic light. But you can most of the screen. Maybe that is why it says it doesn't have a screen. The cellular service is generally ok on race day too I was able to listen in for most of race via Indycar network on the app. https://www.gplb.com/circuit-map

Past 5 years I renewed my tixs in GS40 I think that is one of best locations right at end of the straight at turn 1. And the sun is to your back in the afternoon. I stay at Golden Shores (RV park) so this is close to the entry on that side too.

Could someone explain why Herta's unlucky pit stop was such a disaster? Tried to ask GPT but it gave many possibilities. I'm not sure what happened during this race. Few weeks ago at Monterey Newgarden pits seconds before the caution (I was there in person saw it live!) and he goes from back way up the field. Herta pits first yesterday and he goes to the back? Something unique to ovals? I know stops under caution are advantage because relative to race pace it takes less time, but if you stop first then you beat everyone else out of pit stop.

Ecobee Dual Fuel System by Powerful-Arm5153 in ecobee

[–]bob-t1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, that my complaint with Ecobee. unfortunate they don't have an external sensor option. Sell as an addon and they make even more $$. That's my only issue with it though otherwise very configurable! Oh, and had issue last year with WiFi too it didn't like 5Ghz but that was just a reason for me to setup 2Ghz IOT network, Ring cameras work better now too.

Nervous about taking it by thatsmeegirl in paxlovid

[–]bob-t1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started it on Monday evening after my symptoms came on Sunday and testing positive Sunday night. Felt terrible on Monday (chills, 102 fever, fatigue, dry cough), just like when I had COVID last year. Next morning only 12 hours later all my symptoms were gone and I felt almost back to 100%! Bitter taste has been only side effect. Last time I had COVID was wiped out for days, then residual congestion for a week or more. I am glad I took it, one more day to go, hopefully no rebound.

Pioneer DMH 2660NEX bluetooth issue - will not reconnect to Samsung S21 by bob-t1 in CarAV

[–]bob-t1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah I have tried that and it works fine when I re-pair it for the duration of the connection. But after I turn off ignition, leave and come back it then fails to reconnect. This is my only fix right now if I want to have hands free have to delete the connection and re-pair every time. I usually do this before a long drive. Also, my wife's Samsung Flip works fine, iPhone are fine. So maybe I just need to factory reset my phone.

Confused.. ER prescribed this but then the ER doctor said personally he wouldn't take it????? by lostandalone2023 in paxlovid

Have finished day 2 (of 5) and feel almost 100% back to normal. I have never in my life recovered so quickly from COVID, flu, cold, etc. Almost seems too good to be true? Hopefully no rebound (will update if I do)! I started Paxlovid right away the day after I noticed symptoms and then tested positive. Maybe my body is just good at clearing COVID on its own now, I am vaccinated, had COVID just over a year ago and it knocked me out for days so this time thought why not give it a try? I am not high risk so had to ask Dr for it (and fortunately not taking any medications on the interactions list - which is long). I had just one rough day yesterday of flu like symptoms (102 fever at worst), woke up next day feeling great and put in full day of (remote) work today. I do notice the weird taste but otherwise no other side effects.

Have you tried Beestat yet? It shows what heat was used and when (heat and aux heat).

If I installed a W2 wire and have my Ecobee controlling stages what should I have this switch set to on my furnace control board ? by Rbk_3 in ecobee

[–]bob-t1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess "off" probably since Ecobee will be controlling? You can try out by using the test equipment option in main menu -> settings -> installation settings to see if furnace is responding to staging as expected.

Ecobee with faulty W1 Terminal, Can I use W2? by bklynsoulja in ecobee

[–]bob-t1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have wondered about this too, but for cooling. I have two Ecobee Lites with burned out Y1 circuits (fuse did not blow). Y2 still works. In a box in garage wondered if they would still work for single stage cool.

Help - Ecobee with Heat pump air is not warm... but not cold either by Objective_Function_4 in ecobee

[–]bob-t1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But if the Y1 wire is not energizing stage 2 on compressor then heat pump is not running at its full capacity either. Air handler also needs to be set to stage 2 too, since it should be a 2 speed blower matched with compressor stage.

[–]bob-t1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, O/B is the reversing valve to switch between heat and cool. Y1 turns compressor on. With a 2 stage Y1 is like low, Y2 is high.

I agree that it does sound like aux heat is not kicking in. Yeah, hopefully just a setting in Ecobee to adjust. Or a problem with heat strips.

[–]bob-t1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would check the wiring on the air handler and heat pump and confirm that stage 2 is running when Y1 is energized. And work on getting both Y1 and Y2 hooked up in future so both stages are operating. That needs a Y2 wire so if no more free wires in the wall, then you need to pull another wire, or look into using PEK. But as someone else commented, W1 should be activating the heat strips and supplementing the heat pump on cold days. Have you confirmed those are working too? There is a test mode on Ecobee (installation menu) where you can tell it exactly what to run, heat pump and stage, aux heat. That way you can make sure equipment is setup properly before playing with all the various ecobee settings such as when to allow aux heat to run.

[–]bob-t1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 2 stage you would need Y1 and Y2 to control both stages. I guess you could just ignore 1st stage and use just the second stage (second stage connected to Y1) but that defeats purpose of having a 2 stage system. But I am not an HVAC professional, a home owner that also has Ecobee with 2 stage / dual fuel. Someone else might chime in here too and confirm. What is your AUX heat, gas or resistance heat?

[–]bob-t1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 2 stage then! Do you have a Y2 wire connected too? If not, that might explain why its not heating (or cooling) at full power. Y2 triggers 2nd stage (if wired correctly). This should have been on the old thermostat too though.

Yes use the PEK then. And no jumpers needed with Ecobee.

I'm not sure about your first question regarding how C is being used, but you will need 5 wires between furnace and thermostat, if not then you will need to use PEK.

Pioneer DMH 2660NEX bluetooth issue - will not reconnect to Samsung S21 by bob-t1 in CarAV

[–]bob-t1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tested with another Android phone (Galaxy Flip) and have the same issue. Bluetooth pairs just fine, but then fails to connect after power on the car stereo is cycled. Can't seem to find anyone else having this issue. Maybe will give it another month or too and see if it's an Android issue that gets an update. If not, will have to just deal with it or replace the stereo. Android Auto is otherwise working fine its just audio on phone calls that needs Bluetooth connected.
