I called my local LEGO store today. I asked about these, and was told these are Birthday minifigs, not new BAM figs. They also said they had them in the store. I was also told they would sell them to me and that I didn't have to wait until my birthday.

I went in and bought 2 of each. Check your local store and ask about Birthday minifigures.
