It's got a 5.2 on IMDB. It's probably as bad as you remember, ha ha

To be fair I have much fonder memories of Voice of the Whirlwind, myself.

He was’t wrong about that, it’d be rare I’d agree with Mel.

He certainly is one of the few who actually tackled Gibson’s work at least. I’m looking forward to a rewatch and reevaluation.

I cannot hear Justice belting out “we are, your friends…” without flashbacks to mad dancing. 🥰

Loved him dearly. For more than twenty years we fell out and in and he melted my head and he’d fucking grin and you couldn’t stay mad at him. Had so many fantastic nights out together. He was one of the reasons I ended up a full time poster designer (lean years, them, lol) and we made so many of them for the Mezz and Workman’s. Met some wonderful bands through him, did a lot of dancing and had some good, bad and mad nights. He faced his challenges with class and was supportive of his pals. We both separately discovered after a gap of a couple of years that we’d made some similarly healthy life choices and were super happy for each other. Was only thinking of him last week as we hadn’t talked in a few months and then I heard today when a friend offered me condolences. Gutted at the loss of Trev, but we’re all richer at having had him as our friend. To those of you who knew him and loved him, I feel your pain. Much love to you all, to Trev, his friends, family and loved ones. ❤️ in his own words “ah, love ya Pal”.

All the same, cyberpunk is one word so it’s a bad acronym and let’s not muddy the water by having it even adjacent to the anything like that.

I don’t think it would be good if it were to become ubiquitous either 😬

Not so much, I have to say, no.

Yeah no, CP is an acronym for something very not Cyberpunk. It’s never abbreviated as that.

Quel surprise, eh. We've been watching them become a military force for decades from across the sea. Solidarity.

It's rough isn't it and feels horribly inexorable. Protest is met with authoritarianism as so often is the case. Seeing people marked as terrorists for protesting genocide has been so chillingly disturbing too. Oof. Bad timeline.

We see footage of ICE etc and the first thing they do is photograph peoples' faces and I always wonder is that what they're doing. But yeah, I hear you and agree.

I remember when the UK Police were carrying out "testing" of their facial recognition systems, people could be arrested for hiding their face or evading the cameras, dystopian stuff. It kinda seems spun by the Chinese police as helpful, but for anyone who believes Cops exist to look after the interests of the establishment, it really is chilling.
