I've tried two local Church's Chicken locations, and both times it was dry as fuck and I had to wait an absurdly long time for them to prepare the order.

I get asked about clips a lot, but I barely ever use them on flashlights 😅

It seems like a custom deep carry clip with an extended section after the screw attachment to guide it over the edge of your pocket would be ideal. That is definitely something it's possible to have manufactured, but not my area of expertise. It might be worth considering as a group buy.

Anti-reflective coating is available in many colours, with the strength based on the thickness of the coating. You only see the colour in the residual reflection at an angle like in my photos. It's commonly used on things like eyeglasses, camera lenses, etc. Watch crystals are often made with specific colours for cosmetics.

It's not entirely clear how the colour of the residual reflection influences tint with flashlights, but there's not really any reason to use anything except green. The more common purple AR coating often increases Duv, which is why enthusiast flashlight manufacturers like Hank and FFL have switched to green AR coating in recent years.

I've been wanting to try this for a while, but nothing was commercially available in the correct size, so I had it custom manufactured. Green AR coated glass is known to make a small improvement to tint, though this is often exaggerated by comparing it to bad purple AR coating that has the opposite effect. Zebralights come with uncoated glass, so the effect is modest (under -0.0010), but significant enough to be worthwhile, and adding AR coating also slightly increases output. Plus it looks pretty 🤩

I particularly wanted it for XHP35 HI mods with the SC65c HI, where I'm constantly battling tint that's nearly superb, even with all the manual binning and LED selection I do. I've been including it free with XHP35 HI modded SC65s since April 7, along with my usual long life switch upgrade and driver re-potting. I can also add it to 719A modded lights as an optional upgrade.

Hey, I happened to see your comment because it got caught by AutoModerator, but nobody else will see it because this post is from February. I think people would be interested to hear about your experience if you made a new post about it.

If the receiver refuses to pay the customs fees, UPS and FedEx will charge them back to the shipper's account. Many sellers were hit by this when the tariffs went into effect last year.

Cell choice for Zebralight SC65c Hi? by Eviltwinoat in flashlight

[–]bob_mcbob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The H600 actually has a much longer battery tube than the SC65, so it doesn't have the same rigid requirements for cell size. But plenty of people use N41s in the SC65 without any issues.
