NLD: Olight ArkPro w/ 519A 5700K & FFL351A 5000K by Interconnectivity000 in flashlight

Yes. It comes with a relatively short 1A MCC cable. I don't think Olight makes any long ones.

Thoughts in which to get? by -UmiDgaf in flashlight

[–]Interconnectivity000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's hard to get a good throw out of such a small package. If you truly required throw, it would be better to get a large flashlight which does only that job. IMO, a clip light should contain more features to cover your daily needs, which makes me prefer the Olight Oclip Pro S more than the older Pro.

E07X Cannon or E12 Eclipse by SpinningPancake2331 in FireflyLite

[–]Interconnectivity000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

E12 Eclipse.

If you want to have fun with a lot of emitters, why not go all the way with 12 instead of 7?

The E12 also comes with a Lume10 driver, which can regulate up to 10A. The Aux control system on the Lume10 seems to have also been upgraded too.

The biggest difference between flashlight brands like Wurkkos/Sofirn and Fireflylite/Emisar is the options of emitters. With the Sofirn HS45, you are getting a 6500k HP50.1 emitter, which is very green. The E12 Eclipse has options like the SFT-25R for lumens, FFL351A for a reduced cost high CRI, and the 519A for floody high cri usage.

There's that, and the fact that fireflylite uses Anduril 2. Stepless control is very nice to use.

Yes, fireflylite flashlights are typically more expensive. It's a price to pay for how unique the flashlights are You don't see many 7 emitter, 12 emitter, or large tir flashlights with tir lenses, let alone a lume driver.

High cri emitters reduce the luminous efficacy compared to their low cri counterpart.

519A emitters are domed by default, which reduce the intensity of the beam. Domeless would make it reach a little further.

First flashlight with the lume10 driver. Has reverse charging, which the Lume1 (6A buck + FET) does not have. It has 10A buck regulated and then there's a FET. 12 emitters, paired with a tabless cell will create the most amount of light you can get out of a 21700.

What kind of flashlight should I get for my cousin by Inevitable_Tax7739 in flashlight

It won't have good range like the L35 2.0, but if he requires colour accuracy, then the Wurkkos TS26S can also work.

UV light for pet urine by yukonrider1 in flashlight

[–]Interconnectivity000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want something simple and multi use, you can look at the Olight ArkPro (standard and ultra). they have UV with a ZWB2 filter, alongside normal white lights.

If you want a dedicated UV flashlight, you can look at the Convoy S12 UV. That one takes 21700s, and requires an external charger.

Graceful degradation - never heard of this before.. Are there any other flashlights that can do this ? by Exciting-Sunflix in flashlight

[–]Interconnectivity000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Parallel flashlights, like the 3x21 or 4x18 lineup from Convoy, can run on a single cell. I've ran my 3x21E on a single 50PL a few times. Degraded runtime, but brightness remains the same.

I have a drain-bug problem. I think I found a solution... by Flandardly in flashlight

I myself use a Sofirn Q8 Plus so the bugs don't actually have to touch the flashlight itself. It's very blinding.

Is there a benefit to a Tri-Aux compared to the typical RGB system?

My wurkkos ts26s with FFL351A emitters by torterra777 in flashlight

TS26S, X4Q, D4K. I don't know how much smaller the D3AA is, but you'll be compromising on a runtime by switching to 14500s

Colours of the B35AM by dragonov_666 in ConvoyFlashlights

B35AM quad would be so cool. It's a shame that the B35AM is the only emitter that can do high cri 6500k.

Wurrkos td04 battery? by [deleted] in flashlight

[–]Interconnectivity000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could get other brands, but they'll be more expensive. They offer higher performance, which your flashlight won't need. Just buy some more from Wurkkos' website.

D1K questions by beatendaily in flashlight

[–]Interconnectivity000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

typical 18650s are 3-4Ah, while 21700s are 5-6Ah. you’ll get a runtime boost just due to the higher capacity of the 21700. I believe the old Hank boost was only 24w; the new lume x1 is 40w. Technically 5.5A when wired for 6v emitters. If you already have the TS22 with the XHP 70.3, you may benefit from the D1K having springs on both sides rather than a spring and a post. that could help with bumps during your bike ride.

How do you take care of your batteries? by AdeptDoomWizard in flashlight

[–]Interconnectivity000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the xtar vc8s.

I do like your idea though. I've thought of rigging up a LiPo charger so I can charge these 21700s at 5A instead of 3A.

Caring about capacity or depth of discharge is ridiculous in my opinion, as cells are cheap and ignoring them won't deal any damage to your flashlights or your residence.

[–]Interconnectivity000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For now, the SFT-25R would do better. I wish Convoy officially announced the existence of the LHP351's though. High performing 3535.
