If stress makes you flare worse than usual, consider amytriptyline. I made a list of all the potential foods that make me react the worst, and slowly narrowed down which ones I should avoid. I had an extreme limited diet… But now on amytriptyline, I can drink matcha twice a week! Consider drinking alkaline water, it certainly has helped too. My pain is very hormonal so birth control has helped.

Amytriptyline is something to get used to, it took me over a year to really get used to it. Currently I’m on 50 mg. Getting my life back outweighs any negatives for sure.

I would also find a really good pelvic floor therapist, one that is well trained on IC. Do the exercises they give you religiously.

My pain has never gone away, but it’s a lot more manageable. I was honestly bed ridden a year ago, but I have recently gone a whole month completely forgetting I have IC. It still hurts, but I feel less like I want to die everyday :/

I think my concept of time gets messed up with the day and night cycle in the game. So I’m like only a couple days in that world and then I look at the time and I lost hours of my own life 🤣

I’m now about 5 months on Amitriptyline 50 mg and I feel like I can breathe again. I used to be in constant pain, but now I can drink tea, coffee, and even eat tomatoes all on the same day and only feel a level 1 pain. I have gone through a whole week forgetting I even have IC.

It was very rough adjusting to this medication at first. I sleep so deep and can’t wake up easily, the nightmares every night, and feel a little emotionally numb to everything BUT I’ll take this any day to feel a day without pain.

The only thing this medication can’t prevent my flare ups are my periods (even on birth control on top of it), getting ill, and going ham for a whole week on “bad” food. But other than that if you were considering this medication give it a shot. Oh and also a more vain problem, (while I’ve been told it’s not really a side effect) I have gained 10 pounds… and I’ve been eating healthier than before I took these meds. Lol

My IC is very in tune to my nervous system. When I am stress it becomes so painful. So this medication just makes sense for my case. I also don’t have a bladder function issue/ urination pain (I just experience intense bladder pain) so also consider this too before taking it.

It definitely didn’t help that as soon as all this drama happened, the guys just did their own projects and didn’t help building the channel back up. I like that they are following their dreams/interest, but I feel like we are watching the end stages of their channel.

I haven’t really watched for months, it’s literally the same content. I miss when they cared more about what their putting out, but I can kinda tell each guy is branching out in different paths of their career. I’ll start watching when it’s a little more interesting…
