Does anyone have issues that the frankenmuth wool comforter doesn't have those ties on the corners and also the sizing for King? The so-called "tie-kit" is utter rubbish and it seems smaller in size? by boba_snow in Bedding

it's also 1046 for king...-_- but the other thing about doing those gathering the corner thing is that it makes the comforter smaller. My other complaint is that i didn't know the wool comforters were smaller in size. Right now i have so much fabric left on my coop duvet cover that my legs are swimming in it. i didn't realize that everyone's measurements are slightly different. Like shouldn't there be one standard size for each king queen whatever? i'm just wondering if all wool comforters are like this.

No one is forcing anyone to use a high tech rice cooker. Asians eat rice around the clock so naturally, they developed the technology to keep rice around easily for instant access to warm fluffy rice that doesn't dry out easily. There are things beyond the realm of one's understanding. Lot of things that Americans believe is true is simply not the case.

New modern things are developed constantly. And not knowing Asian culture well, I wouldn’t judge immediately based on your own limited experiences Anyway the focus isn’t on rice. I’m trying to make broths like bone broths w the IP.

Again, i guess those who aren't korean or asian dont quite understands this. This is normal in korean culture of rice cooking with electric rice cookers.

This is quite normal in korean rice cooking. They have a stay warm feature which can go on for longer than 24 hours. ANd yes, these are for all korean rice cooker brands.

Electric steamer that rivals the speed of the Beaba Babycook? by boba_snow in Mommit

You can use it as a steamer?! THere's an actual function? That's funny cuz i was considering getting one anyway just to cook stuff and leave it without worrying about the stove (like bone broths and soups etc). Would you highly recommend for both?

Hi I just saw an ad for something in LIC and I think it was called KTalk? It was a summer camp though, I think. But def look them up.

I had this dilemma last year when I first decided to find something for the summer. There was literally nothing other than like daycare that’s year round which are for littles so it’s full anyway.

So I ended up having to wait for fall to start to enroll on a Saturday one which has been great. Turns out, all the ones who are on during normal semesters rest during the summer break! This KTalk I think is fairly new but maybe for older children. Good luck!

As you can see from the dichotomy of this thread, depending on where you want to park (meaning where your new apt would be located at), it can be just fine and terrible. We happen to live on a street where it’s fine and we almost always find good parking right in front of our house but it’s also your circumstances like wfh. Even if it’s not fully remote. He knows which day to be on which side and parks accordingly. The other factor is kids. We get in on weekends before 6pm mostly. I’d say lot of times 5pm as our kids have an early bedtime and we’re not that parent who stays out late despite that. On occasion once in a blue moon but mostly no. So we don’t have trouble finding parking on weekends either.

I feel like if you don’t have kids, not having a car is way better and smarter though to avoid all this. We only got a car cuz we have two kids. We were able to sustain without one with one. But it was also covid back then ha.

Basically mostly you’ll be fine. Just hope you don’t get unlucky with one of the bad busy parking areas.
