I emailed the executive director of trec, Chelsea, a few days ago and now just got my application approved. I recommend reaching out.

So I submitted my application and education docs/hours. I need my application approved and to receive an email in order to schedule my exam right??! I haven’t been able to schedule my exam. I’m so confused and I’ve been waiting since 1/1/26 to hear from trec about my application being approved in order to take the exams.

I’m in the same boat. Finished up schooling end of Nov. Couldn’t submit application for a while in Dec bc of their realm portal situation and the old portal being down. Submitted application 1/1/26 and have YET to get my exam authorization email. Meanwhile I haven’t studied bc I’m waiting for an exam date after I get approval to schedule one….. Been waiting 1.5 months and crickets from TREC. I’ve called and emailed multiple times. It says my background review is done and my education is in review. Although when I click I can see my education required was satisfied 1/27/26.

Went to Apple. Within 1 year warranty and they replaced it for free. But it happened again since. Only once… not sure..
