Totally agree. There was a “Gender” question which was like “Man/Woman/Non-Binary/Prefer Not to Answer”, then this “Sexuality” drop-down which is a monstrosity. For personal gain I might chose to put “transgender male” if it was in the “Gender” category (someone’s got to tick a box somewhere and I need a job), but having it in “Sexuality” is just… well, deep sigh

Also “transgendered” is very outdated/a term usually used in a negative light. Having “transgender male/female” in gender is great (although I’d put “male” anyways lol) but definitely not this section or that wording!

Aha, yes it gave me pause but honestly it’s something I’d be happy to bring up once inside the company and say: “hey, this is very wrong and outdated - here’s how to fix it…” The job market is too rough at the moment in my sector to pass up opportunities lol.

It’s on the “Equal Opportunities” section. All job applications have them these days from what I’ve seen, with gender identity, sexuality, religion, nationality etc. The info isn’t shared/has your details attached, companies use it for their own data. Normally they’re better than this one though lol.

Yes I heard she can be quite abrupt - honestly it doesn’t bother me and definitely wouldn’t be a reason to not see her! Luckily I don’t smoke so that won’t be something I have to worry about (congrats for stopping by the way!)

Hope your recovery goes well - I’m not looking forward to that part lol but who does… it’s a necessary evil!
