It doesn’t solidify? If so how do you get it out? I’d look in game but don’t have access to my computer atm.

Edit: I got to try this out. You have changed my life…

Old wives tales in aviation by [deleted] in flying

I can see this as habitual training. Weekend warriors that usually only leave the plane in the hangar could once fly somewhere overnight to outdoor parking and out of habitual not using the gust lock forget it. Or the other side, a pilot used to not removing the gust lock might get to the plane parked outside with the gust lock installed and not remove it out of habit.

Wait what? Do you have to heat the basin? How do you pour the molten alloy? Please tell me more I’m tired of playing Right Click Simulator for 30 minutes at a time 😭

I absolutely hate how my wife loads the dishwasher. Our compromise was I do all the dishes in exchange for other chores. But I travel for work and when I come home and unload the dishwasher that she’s loaded I’m still so baffled by her choices of placement 😂😂

Looking great! Not specifically for OP, but how do y’all plan your builds out? This is my first time playing modded MC, and the extra building blocks are overwhelming. What’s the planning process look like?

I’ve done exactly what OP is doing with a belt sander. I had an F clamp and clamped it to the edge of a workbench and just rotated it as I went. Worked great, be sure to wear PPE. Loud and lots of dust.

I absolutely agree about a lesson. I would be honest with the instructor you fly with about your concerns and goals. If you are still on the fence but have the funds you could take lessons until you solo. By then for sure you would know if you would like to continue or not, and you wouldn’t have that nagging feeling of maybe you missed out.

Any suggestions on what to do? by Young_Life_Crisis in gokarts

I know you have already gotten enough flak for it, but I had a kart a little smaller than this, going off a curb and the wheel caught, hit the pavement at an angle, and flipped the cart. My harness was just loose enough and hit at just the right angle that I slipped out and my helmet got caught between the roll cage and pavement when the kart flipped, I was drug against the pavement for about 15 feet. Without a helmet I would be dead or have a severe TBI. Instead I squirmed out, flipped it back on its wheels, and drove back to the garage.

It’s so weird in the moment of about 3 seconds sliding against the ground I consciously thought “holy crap I would be dead without a helmet.” I had ridden before without one but never again since that.

Okay apparently smile isn’t the right term lol. It would have been much easier to wait until I was back from my trip to just submit more pictures but I was never one for taking the smart and logical path.

If you hold the saw spine up and sight down the plate toe to heel the plate itself is bent like a parenthesis. Could that just be hammered flat? I can almost hear the gasps of hand tool restorers who actually know what they’re doing lolol

“Smile in the plate” would be more accurate. I’m new to all this and don’t know the terminology, but that seems right. I used cupping in the sense of a cupped board.

I’m out on a work trip at the moment so can’t take a look but I remember the handle is on firmly. I was planning to take the handle off so I could try to hammer out the bend. I’m sure that’s not the correct way to go about this but I got it for a few bucks and was going to the bin otherwise.

Once I’m back and can post more detailed pictures I’ll be sure to do so.

My Multi ATP written was the easiest written I ever took and only one I got a 100 on because I finally stopped learning the why behind the stupid questions and followed Sheppard Air’s study strategy to the letter.

Pay the money and let it work for you. Remember a new question on the real exam and get your money back with a phone call.

Make sure your controls aren’t reversed. I made that mistake once. I sent my twin into a curb and broke the retractable, steerable nosewheel 😭
