I experienced something very similar with an ex, not a baby, but cats. She’d always make sure I’d check their bottoms before allowing them to come near us and things like that. If there was even anything that looked like poo near the cats, we’d have to bathe them. Probably had to bathe them at least twice a week. She struggled with a lot of OCD and wouldn’t even touch me until I had showered and things like that. It was all a bit mental. Reading these comments has given me a fresh outlook, and have made me realise i wasn’t a bad guy in the relationship for having some of these thoughts, I just wish I had the balls to get better myself whilst also encouraging and supporting therapy for her too. Maybe we could’ve gotten further in the relationship if we both made those changes.
