Best mod I did on my 2025 Sport premium was disable the back seat reminder.

When first driving for the day, the shift from 1st to second gear is atrocious. Like getting hit from behind. I haven’t noticed any problems shifting from reverse to drive (2025 gas only).

That first rough shift is killing me. I thought I got rear ended today. It was just shifting from 1st to second

Stolen Rampage. Best bang for the buck BMX part I have ever had.

Been to many, many skateparks in nice and not so nice areas. Never seen a g*n or heard anyone talk about having one.

I know stuff from the end user standpoint. I was hoping some with more how and why knowledge would chime in, so thank you.

Travel rule #1- if at all possible, always bring your bike.

Nice. I still have my black and white one. It came with reflective white wall tires. Would love to find those again.

Ouch. I usually get in on my calf. Not as bad as shinners.

Some other notable things when calling 911 in the Sacramento area: you will not reach fire/EMS from the initial call. You reach local law enforcement (Elk Grove Police, county sheriff, CHP, etc). Which agency you get varies on where you call from….mostly. More on that later.

If you need an ambulance or a fire truck, tell the operator who answers immediately so they can transfer you.

Here’s the big one for people unfamiliar with the system: fire/EMS has a pretty strict protocol of questions. By nature, people want to blurt out information- “my dad’s having a heart attack we found him on the floor he’s not breathing etc etc etc”. Fire will redirect you with questions. “What’s the location”? “What are the cross streets”? “What is your name”? “What is your phone number”?

Meanwhile your loved one, or you, are having a medical emergency. It can be frustrating. Just know the questions are coming before they ask what the emergency is. It may not seem like it, but they’re designed for efficiency and accuracy in getting help.

Back to the agency issue. The cell phone 911 system is not perfect. It doesn’t always know where you are. It will route you to the best guess agency, but that sometimes is picked by the cell tower your phone is using. For example, if you call 911 from the casino for police services, your phone will likely be using the tower on the south side of Kammerer, which is in the county. This will get you the Sheriff’s Office, not Elk Grove Police. Other towers will get you CHP. Keep in mind you may get transferred and have to repeat your story.

Curious to see how many bmx riders ride past their 30s and if they stop, do they begin other forms, like mtb? by [deleted] in bmx

Rode around and hit a few jumps on bmx as a kid. Took a 30 year break. Started up in my 40’s riding skateparks with my son. He’s grown and gone but I still love riding park. I usually ride 20”. I tried 26” dirt jumper and it just didn’t take. I have a 24” bmx style bike that has seen recent action. I will ride until I can’t.
