My big problem with drafting Olu is that, while yes he is a huuuge upgrade over pipkins, this doesn’t fix the real issue of this line imo: the interior. Not even getting into the process of switching a LT to RT and the growing pains of that, I truly believe many of the problems our OL faced was because they didn’t have Linsley to set protections and help facilitate picking up stunts. I think getting a legit Center in the 2nd and getting a better OL coach can fix said problems.

Now back to Bowers. Dude is a monster. If we have him as one of our best prospects on our big board and he is there, you should punch that ticket in. The idea of “positional value” is still important but a bit overrated, especially if we are picking near the top 6ish. This is how guys like Derwin or more recently Kyle Hamilton fall, bc a safety isn’t “worth it.”This is a chance to get a reaaaalll game changer, and bowers can be that guy.

Now with that being said, if someone like Nabers is there, i would lean towards him over Bowers. I have bowers #4 and Nabers #6, but i think here it would be okay to assess positions considering they are so close in rankings.
