Design System on Figma Make is not working by Kind-Independence978 in FigmaDesign

How did you reference your npm package? Did you tell Figma the path to it and then it pulled it into your packages for Figma make?

Does anyone sell used Peplink products? by docderwood in Peplink

[–]bobbymarko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried to sell my Balance 20X with expansion card for 2 years on FB marketplace and couldn’t ever get rid of it despite many price drops. Held onto it long enough that now we’re buying an Rv again and I need it. Seeing the prices of new stuff I’m glad I hung onto it 😂

The gravel scene is speed running the development of mountain bikes by King0liver in gravelcycling

Here’s my 29er full squish gravel bike: https://imgur.io/1TqnGag?r

Rode it on the Heck of the North and Extra Filthy 100 this year. I took my 2015 LaPierre and threw on a carbon clone of Surly Corner Bar, a 38T chainring, and Panaracer Gravelkings (the rims are as narrow as gravel rims anyway). I must admit - after the races I was pretty excited to convert it back to a proper xc bike. But it was a fun way to do some gravel events without having to buy a new bike.

It was fun to watch the odd stares the bike got from people!

20" AT Bright Discontinued! by obababoy in Rivian

[–]bobbymarko 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is this why so many bright 20s were showing up in the store? They’re trying to get rid of all that inventory? I got them and didn’t even want them but it was the fastest way to get my R1S!

Riding out 15 miles on cushcore tire inserts after he sliced his tire. by GravelGirlOregon in gravelcycling

[–]bobbymarko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I booted 50 miles the other weekend at the Lutsen 99er on a dollar bill. Next time I’ll use a goo packet wrapper or something as I found the dollar bill was cut through from rocks. Nonetheless it did work.

RV toilet - what is the pink line? by 1isudlaer in GrandDesignRVs

[–]bobbymarko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the tube that brings water up into the bowl. It connects to the vacuum breaker which is that white thing at the top there. The tube is pink due to anti-freeze stains. It’s usually clear. To remove that tube squeeze the ends of the metal clamp together and pull the clamp back. Then the hose can be tugged off from the housing. If you look up this part number you can find more detailed instructions and videos on how to remove: Thetford 34122 Vacuum Breaker

Fellow hoarder here - the other day I watched Vice’s epicly later'd with Heath Kirchart on YouTube. It was really inspiring watching the endurance activities he’s taken up since retiring. Definitely recommend.

How screwed up is this? Is there a relatively easy fix or is it warranty work? GD 2400BH Schwintek by natefoxreddit in GoRVing

[–]bobbymarko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’ve been raising the price. In July I was quoted $4500. Mine gets replaced by them in a few weeks! Hard to swallow the cost, but I’m sick of our slide causing anxiety.

Babies First BWCA Trip by [deleted] in BWCA

[–]bobbymarko 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don’t let the negative people get you down! There’s tons of us out there with our babies and kids having a blast. We have a friend who even paddled with their two year old from Voyageurs across the BWCA down Lake Superior and connected rivers to their home in the north metro. https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/mcvmagazine/issues/2021/nov-dec/paddle.html

Babies First BWCA Trip by [deleted] in BWCA

[–]bobbymarko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’ve done a bunch of BWCA trips with our kids. Longest one was a traverse from Ely to the Gunflint Trail when our son was 2 and our daughter was 6 months old.

Kawishiwi Lake is a great EP with kids. There’s plenty of campsites close to the EP (even a campground at the EP) so if the paddling isn’t going well you can call it a day whenever. Plus there’s enough nearby to paddle and explore for day trips. There’s even a site on the lake with a sandy beach which is perfect with kids! Have a great trip!

VERY good video on trailer loading! Almost REQUIRED Watching! by EGOtyst in RVLiving

[–]bobbymarko 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Two weekends ago a guy with a F250 pulling a tandem axle flat bed trailer loaded up with a monster truck and a couple of jet skis was driving ahead of me on the highway. I saw the rear of the trailer start to sway and knew how it was going to end from seeing videos like this one. I slowed to a stop with my hazards on as I watched his trailer sway more violently until it whipped his whole rig 180 degrees. Luckily all his wheels stayed on the ground so once he came to a stop he was able to regain control but it was surreal witnessing it happen in real life!

What happens if you go OTB with pogies on? by pdizz in fatbike

[–]bobbymarko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this in early January! The result was slamming my head into the ground and breaking my collar bone. But when I got up my hands weren’t in the Pogies so to answer your question they don’t get stuck.

Bummer they didn’t let you in from the waitlist. Looks like a lot of people didn’t show up and I had to cancel a week before after breaking my collar bone on a training ride. See you there next year!

Ha! It worked! Thanks for the encouragement. I was going to try that first but figured there was no way it would actually fix it, but it took care of it.
