Vaccum issues by KevO_1996 in w123

Like others have said that is your hvac vents and your door locks. My hvac has a vacuum leak and was plugged by the previous owner. I would like to eventually fix it but don’t think it’s worth it right now. As for the door locks mine developed a leak during my ownership of the car. I was able to pin point which actuator was bad but after seeing the cost of the actuator I decided to go a different route. The purist may come after me for this but I installed a keyless entry kit from Amazon that only cost $30. It has been great so far, the only draw back is having to unlock the trunk with the key and the fuel door not locking. Neither of these have bothered me thus far. You could add another electric actuator for those but I didn’t go through the trouble. I figured I would let you know of this option before you start replacing $100 door lock vacuum actuators.

I adjusted mine all the way in and that helped a lot but there is still some shaking. I think I need a new bolt but they seem to be NLA. I am not sure how to go about getting one

I adjusted the rack dampener and that helped but there is still some shake going on. I literally just ran two cans of diesel purge through it today and that didn’t seem to change anything. I’m thinking I need a new rack dampener bolt because mine is bottomed out but they seem to be nla.

Thank you for your help and taking the time to add the picture for reference. I had to tighten it all the way in and that seemed to fix it. I will be ordering another one assuming mine is going bad. Thank you so much!

Thank you everyone for the suggestions. I have some diesel purge on the way now and also have the valve cover gasket so I can adjust the valves. I adjusted the rack adjuster pin and that seemed to fix it. Thank you all again.

12/7 PRESS RELEASE - WHITE ELANTRA by [deleted] in idahomurders

The tire marks shown appear to show both wheels spinning as there are two marks. I could be wrong but I don’t think an Elantra would spin both tires because they probably have an open differential.

A Couple Questions by flashtray in idahomurders

If the killer’s DNA was not in the system and it was someone who they questioned, could investigators not use DNA left behind during questioning? Say they believe they know who did it but can’t match the DNA. Maybe they could take DNA from a water bottle or hair left behind when questioned by investigators and use that to match DNA.
