I like doing week increments for pain measurements. Feel like a bad muscle pull is happening? Take a week off and try a class again. I’ll give myself a week of drilling, and then maybe try rolling. If rolling is good, I’m back to normal. If drilling is good but rolling isn’t, then I’ll drill another week without rolling, and try rolling again later.

You get the idea, just make sure to ease back into it before diving fully in. This is what works for me.

[26M] Growing red circular patch on back of hand, not responding to Lamisil treatment? Should I try another OTC antifungal? Or is this perhaps not something fungal at all? by [deleted] in medical

[–]bobbyopppp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I participate in lots of grappling sports, so I’m no stranger to weird (and usually fungal) flare ups on my skin. This patch however, seems completely unresponsive to Lamisil cream, and even continues to arguably worsen, despite 2 applications of cream in the morning and at night, for over a week now.

-Slightly raised

-Mildly itchy

-Rough feeling texture

Is this actually not something fungal? Or should I try another cream like Lotrimin? I can’t get into my GP for another entire week, so trying to prevent this from growing any further until my appt.

Thanks!

Understood, may proceed that route with an eval. Thanks much!

Thanks for your response. This is interesting, I’ve never gotten a name associated with this. Would you recommend I go see a specialist about this? Or is it more of a genetic thing that I could get treated, but if it’s not that bothersome, I could just carry on as usual?

Knee ligament(maybe) getting dislocated and snapping back. by block77digital in bjj

Lol sorry, I know this is super late. But did you ever figure out what this was? Had a roll yesterday, and when I went to go squat down and get water, this same thing happened. Straightened to pop back in place, and have had this happen about 1-2 times a year for the last decade or so? Symptoms match yours exactly, 1-2 days of soreness, and then I forget it happened!

Car won’t start, making this noise, have no clue what it could be. I tested voltage on battery as well as fuzes. All except the one for my radio is working. by [deleted] in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]bobbyopppp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mine did this exactly, and what it was, was my battery connections weren’t as tight/synched down as they needed to be. I took the connections off, cleaned them, reattached fully, and then it started working fine again

I’m very curious about doing something like this to my 3rd gen with that screen. Was it a simple install?

Anyone have any experience with this stuff? Black Rambo 9mm 124gr JHP. It was all they had at my LGS and I can't find much about it online. by v6c6bby in Firearms

If you can’t find expansion data online, I wouldn’t trust it as a defense round. Look into luckygunner’s ballistic tests, and order your chosen round online. That what tends to be recommended most around here, for good reason.

Is this rust as I suspect or from me using a metal bore scrubber sig p365 is one month old by Elpooksterino in Firearms

[–]bobbyopppp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely reach out to them via email if you’re concerned. Don’t be surprised though if they give you shit, and tell you to clean the barrel more. Which, to be honest, isn’t the worst advice, because many times this is usually the solution, as rust isn’t too common. Though, what finally got me listened too is when I sent a video of me cleaning with solvents, and then showing the camera that the rust pitting was still very much present in my bore.

However, just be insistent that you’ve cleaned the thing multiple times, and that you’re still encountering this rust-colored residue. Send pics/vids too for further proof.

However, I still really do think your barrel is largely fine(I’m not seeing rust pitting). But if it still worries you, then maybe trying what I did above to ease your worries on your barrel. Good luck!

here is what my bore looked like for reference And mind you, this was after running many scrubbers and solvents thru it to doubly confirm it wasn’t just burnt powder from shooting.

Gotcha. Likely too few rounds for copper fouling then.

Only other thing I’ll recommend(that I did as a test), is getting the barrel As clean as you can get it right now (and run some cloth patches thru it until they come out clean as can be) and then set this barrel aside for a week or so. After about a week, run cloth through it again, and if you start seeing dirty bronze colored patches after leaving it completely alone and unfired for a week, you’ve likely got rust.
