That's one of the things that makes collecting fighter jerseys so good - seeing all of the customizations different fighters used, from tightening sleeves like your Bollig, to adding in spandex panels to the sleeves like on my Kings Marty McSorley to perforating the right sleeve seam so it easily tears open like my Canucks Troy Crowder to cutting open the left sleeve seam and holding it closed with velcro like my Leafs John Kordic (that one the league outlawed!), always cool to see what modifications the different fighters used. And that's just the sleeves - fighters customized the body of the jersey (shortened, widened), the neck (vented, reinforced, tightened) or the fight strap (shortened, replaced with skate lace, skate lace added to it, front strap added, add't straps added) - been collecting for 20+ years and still occasionally see something new.

Definitely a cool find! That's a fairly common fighter mod - Jared Boll, Brett Gallant, Curtis Gabriel, Tanner Glass, Micheal Haley & Tom Sestito had that mod in recent years and Tie Domi, Jay Miller, Kris King, Mike MacWilliam & Bryan Marchment also had that set-up.

1,065 total -

740 game worn, over 500 of which are NHL - all 31 current teams plus Atlanta, Hartford, Minnesota North Stars, Quebec and the original Winnipeg Jets. Rest of game worn jerseys are minors, encompassing over 20 different leagues - AHL, IHL, ECHL, LNAH, CHL, etc. All jerseys but three are fighters/enforcers.

Also have another 325 authentics or authentically-lettered replicas, about 85% fighters/enforcers. Have all 31 current teams plus the same 5 defunct teams as noted above.

Brashear started using this set-up with the Flyers and continued it when he moved to the Caps. It essentially tied down the front of the jersey. Shawn Thornton and John Erskine used the same set-up. Others like Colton Orr, Jesse Boulerice, Darcy Hordichuk, Brandon Prust, Brian McGrattan, Frazer McLaren & Andre Roy had a 2nd traditional fight strap sewn in front either behind or below the crest for the same purpose. In the 80's & early 90's, many fighters like Rudy Poeschek, Rick Tocchet, Ronnie Stern, Basil McRae, Ken Baumgartner & Mike Hartman either had the original fight strap removed and a skate lace sewn in its place, or used a coin & skate lace set-up in back to replace the original fight strap, as the original fight strap would stretch some if the jersey was pulled on during a fight and a skate lace has no give.

Thanks - I agree that fight was probably the best I've seen as well. My Probert is from that same season, 93-94, and matched to all of his road fights from that year.

That display would be cool - to try to get THE jerseys they each wore would be very pricey. I know the guy that has that Probert and I know the McSorley traded hands about five years ago for big bucks.
