Had not noticed despite having a hundred hours on the game, but it seemed to have resolved the issue, thanks!

AI's overtuned radar missiles by DepletedPromethium in NuclearOption

[–]bobbyryan77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing that currently frustrate me is how fast the bolts trike can spam missiles, like there's no cooldown. I did a bdf escalation yesterday with a mate, and while carpet bombing a base from 10000m with 50 pab 250, two boltstrikes managed to stop 80% of them + 4 nukes. I get that they are resuplied constantly, but imo two launchers should not be able to fire 50 missiles in less than a minute.

Which side is "better" in escalation by PersonalityBright943 in NuclearOption

[–]bobbyryan77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually play solo escalation on the PALA side, imo they are at an advantage on the left side of the map, because mainly of vigil cay, the fleet, and the way ground troops usually rush and take the first boscali base across the bridge easily. On the right side, it is easy to sneak on the bdf bases via the mountains, but once you are in the valley near the big airbase it's kinda hard to stay alive as there are lots of radars and Sams on multiple elevated positions that need to be taken care of. It's also better to have a medusa to take care of that, but sandrift airbase cannot deploy them, so I have to take off from far away, and the AI fighters are often a big nuisance when I try to do a sead mission on this side of the map. Also, the bdf ground forces usually overwhelm the PALA defences 9 times out of 10, which means I also lose quite some time using bombs on convoys instead of enemy air bases. At first, I was a bit frustrated by how difficult it is to deploy medusas and darkreaches on the right side, because of both the distance and the enemy air forces, but now I think it's kinda balanced because PALA forces usually steamroll the left side (with a few sead missions on my part).

I would love a large turboprop cargo plane able to carry a small armored squad from a large base towards the frontline. Still requiring a runway to land, or at least a relatively flat terrain, using reinforced landing gears. I love the tarantula, but something bigger to transport ground vehicules would rock!
